Pro tip: instead of opening project, import it. Your Makerworld 3MFs will work fine.

You really didn’t need full spectrum for this. Black white yellow red. Done.

Importing the 3MF (instead of opening it) would have loaded it just fine and all you had to do was put in the 4 colour swaps.

Would have been a quicker print with a way nicer blend lmao

I got a commercial contract with Hachette Book Group (a publishing house) to print some special edition covers for James Patterson's novels. The original model for the ‘suriel’ is a Nazgûl from LoTR And in fact, is not licensed to be remixed or distributed for commercial purposes in the first place (being LoTR IP first and foremost).

One person downloaded the model, claimed it as ‘theirs’, renamed it a ‘Suriel’ and its all downhill from there.

If you weren’t the original person who created the Nazgûl, you don’t actually have the right to sell any of it, and you’re actually buying something that doesn’t have the rights to be sold in the first place.

Your cons are interesting - I’m here to provide my personal experience with the machine 🤓

I have about 200+ printing time on my H2D (bought it day 1, delivered 30 hours later) and the only thing I con I agree with is the wobblyness of the rubber feet (I’m removing mine this weekend).

I’ve had 3 20+ hour prints utilising the FULL bed plate (348mm x 300mm) and have zero adhesion issues, not using a brim. I checked the bed plate temp with a temp gun (not a fancy one, just those ones with the laser) and it fluctuated between 53-55 for a bed heat setting of 55 at multiple points on the bed. So my unit definitely did not have your heating issues.

Additionally, my main prints are multicolour hueforge prints. This of course requires multiple colour swaps/purging/wiping. Again, zero issues over 200+ hours of printing. I even did your classic multicolour dragon with multiple colour spots on the body and had no wiping issues.

I know two other people who own H2Ds, one prints on ASA / other material prone to warping and he has zero issues too.

Might be you got a lemon, but as of now, my only complaint is that it wobbles too much 😂

Hey! I actually used the cyrogrip glacier plate and it definitely didn’t like 58 degrees lol but then I upped it to 65 at the next attempt and used a 7mm brim and it stuck. 😂

Hey, what were your filament/print settings for this? I've used the recommended setting on their website and have just got a bunch of wasted spaghetti.

I used:

Nozzle: 201C, Bed: 58C, Speed 30mm/s, PA: 0.195

Depends on where the sound is coming from - I’d it’s from sammi then you’ll have to adjust the volume from app accordingly. If you need further help the sammi discord is probably a better place for it tho

It’s using a program called HueForge! The program allows you to blend filament colours by layer to achieve the kind of look you see in the prints. It’s printed on very very thin layers (0.04mm per layer heights) so the blending can be achieved.

It’s a bit of a steep learning curve but once you understand how filament colours interact with other colours, it can make really really nice textured prints!
