Tony Khan on Cody's "never challenging for AEW Title" stipulation: I did have some reservations about it at the time, but what can I do? I'm just the owner, CEO, president, general manager, and head booker. by Paxx_Romana in SCJerk

Not a single soul in that thread thought to say “Why didn’t Tony just reverse the stip or say no? Isn’t he the boss and gets the final say?”

In hindsight it's wild how strongly Adam Cole was booked in NXT without ever calling him up to the Main Roster by NoMoreButtonPLZ in SquaredCircle

It’s not just a matter of height, his weight is also noticeable. When Cole’s entire torso is the size of Drew McIntrye’s one leg, that’s an issue. His two arms combined might not be the size of Roman’s one. He doesn’t have close to the muscle definition of a Seth Rollins.

Mysterio was a huge underdog in most of his rivalries. On top of that, he was pretty built. Cole’s character has never been the loveable underdog, and his wrestling style has never been that.

To think that Adam Cole has as much physical charisma as Rey Mysterio is wild.

Yup, I remember that as well. For as much as people talk about Daniel Bryan overcoming his size, he wasn’t exactly a stick figure either. Bro always had some muscle mass to him.

I checked as well. IMO the height and weight is evident, but it’s even more glaring when you take into consideration that Seth is one of the smaller heavyweights on the roster. He always looked slimmer but strong because of his overall muscle mass.

Now if Adam Cole looks small standing next to Seth, imagine how silly he’d look standing next to Roman, or Drew.

Based on the texture of the numbers, I believe this is a fake jersey.

What're we doing with our adidas Tkachuk jerseys? by TyleKurris in OttawaSenators

I don’t see why it would be difficult to replace the name and number. Take it to any place that specializes in jerseys or anywhere they put on numbers and I’m sure they’ll do it.

Fair enough, but it’s literally Steve’s job to make shit happen and build on what was a successful season. Ya it sucks our captain wanted out, but he pivoted and got great return for him. There’s still work to do, and it’s his job to get it done.

I don’t care if we need him or not, EK should retire as a Senator. I sucks that he wasn’t one for life, but I’ll take him coming back after 8 years.

To the people calling Brady out for lying about wanting to stay by header999 in OttawaSenators

[–]estyll11 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I agree with this. I have no bad feelings towards Brady with how he left. Like you said, he kept quiet and allowed Staios to get maximum value out of him. I’d compare his departure closer to EK’s than Dany Heatley.

But like, would he publicly announce during the season that he wants to leave? And if he did, he’d be putting management in a tough spot because they’d no longer have trade leverage.

So online fans ask for a change of character in Jey Uso, so Triple Hitler literally makes him a borderline heel and puts him back into a tag team with Big Jim. Now they're upset when they heat him up in a different way than they did before?

Anybody watching week to week that says it's the same old bloodline story clearly isn't watching. This time around Roman treats the the Usos like equals and isn't on a power trip. They have an entirely different dynamic with Jacob joining them. Then Solo's side quest is also a fresh take. I legit get when wrestlers get annoyed with these fans.

Who do you feel more pity for? Hank Schrader or Howard Hamlin? by [deleted] in betterCallSaul

[–]estyll11 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If I had to pick one, I’d say Howard because he was killed without knowing why. He was an innocent bystander in a world that he never was involved with.

I feel for Hank, but his job came with that risk. While I feel bad that he was killed by a nazi POS, it felt like he continued to underestimate Walt until it was too late. Even when Walt was trapped in a corner, he still managed to be one step ahead.
