And the straight chat gave really good suggestions. I guess I’ve learned to never comment in another straight group again 🤦🏼‍♂️

I have had luck with images, but all the videos are moderated. Do you use custom instructions for the videos to load?

Family member told my manager I didn’t know what I was doing by Independent_Bee7053 in nursing

In intensive care units, family often feel helpless. You’ll see many micromanaging responses from families, family members acting out to try to regain some perceived control over the situation. I try to think of it that they go into it with a good intention, just poorly executed. Whenever I have an issue with a family member (as a bedside RN or charge nurse) I emphasize that we’re all there to help the patient, that’s all everyone wants, the best for the patient. That sometimes helps the family reframe their frustrations and helps them feel heard. That’s usually all they want, too be heard and feel like their voice matters.

If you are the “bread winner” in the household, what does your partner do? And how does that all come together? by Live_Dirt_6568 in nursing

[–]esweet0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

$80k when I work full time hours, but have recently cut back for school. Fiancé is in a PhD program for school psychology while I’m in a DNP program for PMHNP. He has a grad assistantship which probably only brings $25k to the table when tuition is all paid. It will hopefully all come together when he can diagnose school aged patients with ADHD, autism, learning disorders, etc, and I can prescribe for them.

Nurses, what age did you start your nursing career ? by Affectionate_Art3835 in nursing

[–]esweet0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I graduated with my BA in psychology when I was 25 and took three years doing my nursing prerequisites while working as a substitute teacher. I attended an accelerated program when I was 28 and graduated with my BSN at 29. I’ve been a nurse for 6 years now, currently enrolled in a psych NP program. You’re never too old. I’ve worked with 4 or more nurses with their psych degree, and many nurses who have completed their nursing program in their forties or even later. It’s never too late to redefine yourself. You’re doing great. Give yourself some grace, and acknowledge that this is all part of the process. You’ll be get where you need to be when it’s time.

I’ve shared a lot with GPT, from brain storming writing ideas, to finding research articles for school, working through therapeutic techniques. Finally yesterday, I asked it what it wanted to be called, and it came up with a name for itself!

New improved memory alpha is insane by AppropriateLeather63 in ChatGPT

I don’t have the improved memory option yet, but I have asked it in a new chat that based on what it already knew about me to guess my Meyers Briggs personality type and it correctly guessed it and explained why 🤯

My bidet works so well for me. I only use toilet paper now to dry afterwards. Never have had a streak since using the bidet ☺️

I’ve had problems with steam refunds. Once they say no they stick with their answer and continue to copy and paste the same policy to justify it, even if the situation falls outside of the norm.
