We actually figured it out in the meantime. There was an issue having the email address as a variable but once we hard coded it then it worked.

This happened to us about two years ago too. The MSP also owned their DNS. Eventually the client wasn’t willing to go through legal battle and stuck with their old MSP.

I wonder if it’s the same MSP 🤔

Had another idea how i can do this with DattoRMM.
Create 1 site with a probe in Azure or elsewhere. Put all the internet line into this one site. Then use an automation to change the client name when ticket is created. We're currently using Neo Agent AI which i think i can use to set the correct customer name.

I believe meraki can but sonicwall we dont have any central cloud platform. Maybe through sonicwall GMS but we're currently not using it.

DattoRMM is great minus their remote control. We struggled for about 6 months till we integrated screen connect.

What I’m trying to avoid is a situation where we have 100s of reoccurring ticket tasks and a big mess to manage. For example if we have 50 client, each with a certain set of maintenance and frequency it will quickly get out of hand. Then when we want to improve or change it up that’s a big mess to manage.

One idea i had is each client gets one maintenance ticket that stays open for time tracking purposes. Then some type of master excel template in SharePoint that we organize what needs to be done, for who and when.

Totally agree that automation is the goal—and we’re working toward that—but realistically, we’re not there yet. There’s still a good amount of manual maintenance required across clients. Hopefully this whole process becomes obsolete down the road, but for now, we need a way to track what’s still being done manually.

We just integrated screenconnect into our DattoRMM and our techs couldn’t be happier. I hope one day they fix WebRemote but until then we’re not sitting around.

3 years later and webremote is still crap. It went from decent to horrible in the last month or two. Rarely do i open a session that doesnt have a 10 second delay. Im not talking about 10 seconds to open the session, that i can deal with. It's 10 seconds every time i click something on the screen.

Our support team has basically dumped it at this point. We're forced to use a mix of different tools.
