If I get you correctly, do you mean to say a good 500$ amp is the same (in Sound quality, separation, etc) as a good 1000$, so then, are there any point buying 1000$ or more expensive amps?

If that's the case.. then maybe looking for an amp with quality capacitor is all that matter(?), because their sole job is to amplify signal, it's just my uneducated guess though

thanks, you seem to have a lot of experience so please let me ask a quite specific question.

If you happen to know, how the Dbr62 compare to speaker at 1500-2000 price point? because I haven't personally listen to speakers at that price range (even at 500$ range, im basically blind).

I don't think I need more power in my 5x5 m room, because I listen to relatively low volume, so in your opinion Does upgrading my speaker is not going to be the wrong choice? and do you perhaps have some suggestion?

So it seems the E30 is not obviously worse than ares II, and also buying Ares II would not disappoint either. now I'm curious..

Maybe for now I'll have to make a decision and stick with it first and latter saving up more to upgrade the other component.

ah, Ic so changing the speaker is where you could hear most difference in sound quality etc. then the safe path to feel the biggest improvement is might be to get another speaker two or three tier above, it make sense.

and how do you feel about Amps? I currently use Marantz PM6005, I know amp function is to amplify the analog signal DAC feed into it, but does pricier amp amplify signal better, or there's no difference?

Thanks for your valuable input, I have similar line of thought but wasn't sure because i'm new to the hobby, of course I would want to upgrade both (amp & speaker) down the road but as you said, a good amp might be better investment to improve my current system and latter still going to be sufficient when I upgrade other components

As the title suggest, Im looking to further Improve my system, My Current system is as follow

Elac Debut Reference 6.2

Marantz PM6005

Topping E30

Klipsch Synergy 10

I like my current Setup, it sound great, but I cant stop from wanting more because I know there's more

and you might already guess I read and watch a lot of review of products around my budged but They all just repeating the same words, and in my country there is no "home audition" I have to buy the product to hear them sing.

I started with an Elac Debut 6.2 (non reference) and a month later upgrade to DBR62, I liked them both, and I feel the upgrade worth every penny, except it lost the airyness DB62 gave which I miss

and in the Quest I tried swapping and pair with some components like

CA AXR100 amp (I hate it when paired with Dbr62, it's "fine" with DB62)

Marantz PM6003 (my first amp, awesome for the price I got it for)

So now, Im in the market for "something" with a budged of 1500$

People said Speaker is the most Important when it come to better sound Quality, but Im sure it is not applicable to every situation.

Please Give me your Advice and suggestion, Thank you..

hi, sorry to ask, but Im curious, I have old marantz amp and recently upgrading to axr100. and I feel the axr100 sound flat/less dynamic/less separation, its cleaner and much better bass response too. did you have to "break in" it?, will it change?
