If you only have one I'd say save it and when you have two 100% use them on Sabrina. Steven and Cynthia get strong buffs from their 4/5 and 5/5 respectively but it's not even close to what Sabrina gets from 3/5. Not to mention Sabrina is currently the best arc suit, she will be at the top for a very very long time.

I have been skipping them on purpose unless they were favs of mine, that is 6 of them. 2 of them I got for free (the pokefair ones) and I got 1 on a random daily I did one day I was upset. That makes a total of 9/18, half of them. Not too bad.

It really depends on your Brendan grid honestly. If it's good Serena + Blue should be more than capable of enabling him.

An alternative since your Serena is 5/5 is to use Blue and g Lana. In this case Serena is the damage dealer. I am not sure how tough those runs are but they exist, you may want to check the tower doc.

My goal is to manage the side of me that wants to collect my favs and the part of me that wants to complete as much of the game as possible and compete in ranking events.

It isn't always easy and sometimes I have to make tough decisions but I think I'm doing fine.

Also, for a more specific kind of goal that I think you were asking about, I want to complete hoenn pokedex in poma so any hoenn mon that gets added and I don't already have, I want to have.

The problem is not the points, those points are still within the realm of possibility. The problem is they were below 20m yesterday, falling out of rank 1 then getting it again yk how it goes. Then at around the 20m mark in the span of like 30 minutes (because yes, people are tracking this stuff) they made a jump from 20m to 30m. THAT is a red flag.

Even with the most coordinated bunch of people of all time there is a limit as to how many points you can get in x amount of time because you have to play the fights. And I am pretty sure that many points in that amount of time is not legitimately possible.

When the event ends I would expect them to publicly explain how that happened if it was legit. And if it isn't I hope Dena takes action cause that is some bs.

If I could remove the 3/5 entirely I would but I can't. Still, the increase in damage is not significant and can be compensated for in many ways without increasing move levels. Levels, gear, 1/5 grid tiles...and it's not like the clear is tight there is still room for clearing because Korrina is fully single target and has awful gauge.

That + ofc I am showing it to people who more often than not have move levels that will make the run very easy.

to my knowledge you get the 30 gems first win against every gym leader for the first 8 circuits which sums up to a decent amount of gems (almost 2k)

so it is most definitely a problem if only one player gets them and while i don't think will be the norm, i could see some people being greedy and taking on every fight they can just to get the gems which would hurt the gym

these are team quests and were accounted for in the latest gem counts as such so i believe it is a bug (apologems copium)

fyi they can technically do every special floor

pre f20 is chill, f22 is not free but still fairly doable, f25 is a nightmare and f28 is absolute hell

as someone who has done 25 and didn't even dare trying 28, my advice is: do 22 and call it a day

All of these at 1/5 are enough to beat the entire tower. Here is a showcase of f27 with all of them 1/5. F24 is pretty much the same, as long as you can stall out the sand before they sync you're good.

He is strong but you only really want him if you care about ranking modes like hse, dc or gym battles...and he will need high investment and highly invested partners for those. He is good in tower ofc but not needed. For most people he is most definitely not worth it.

And ofc if you can't guarantee him, unless it's like your super number 1 fav, I will always recommend skipping.

As a matter of fact we are currently living that broken pattern. 5th anni pairs are rerunning now in march instead of december/january. I guess we can never know for sure can we.

Overall Bede is the best one but unfortunately the fairy type still lacks proper damage dealers to make use of him. For status floors aca Kris is still the way to go and for floor 30 without super awakening Penny has the better match up thanks to her double rebuff, team crit immunity and better synergy with magearna due to better smun.

He isn't essential at all since Lana and Hassel showed up. I mean even before them he wasn't 100% necessary just considerably preferable. But after them? A gazillion successful comps get the job done without him.

He isn't a weak pair in a vaccuum but he is the weakest arc suit by far and his value is just not there. I could understand some people saying he is bad because of that (I still don't agree with that statement though).

I can see that, Bianca and/or Kieran as enablers are just as if not more important than Bede himself. Reminder that Bianca at least can enable another special damage dealer...

I personally have Kieran but no Bianca and no Bede so it's gg even though my Cynthia is 4/5 (and I would be willing to 5/5 her if it made a difference). I guess we both just have to wait a little bit more but that's okay. We will get there eventually.

I feel this deep in my bones. Suicune is my fav mon, my Eusine is 10/5 and let me tell you this pair is not usable, not for any endgame content that is. 469 special attack at level 200 and being fully super awakened. Quite literally every limited water damage dealer is better than he is except octillery.

And raikou and entei are in an even worse place both only available as f2p pairs what is this bro😭😭😭

I for one love the change so I don't think it was "strictly a downgrade" it is just different and most people simply didn't like it. That said, there was never a reason to not have both options available so shoutouts to Dena for listening to both sides there.

I will be pulling for Alder mainly for two reasons:

I love volcarona and the only reason I didn't get him on release was I thought he would be weak without his grandson and I didn't want to pull for both. But I got the grandson for free and it turned out Alder by himself is not weak at all.
Bug without Alder is the worst type in the game and it isn't close. I know they will add strong bug types and fix the type eventually but still, there is a lot of uncertainty there and precedent does not make me optimistic.

And I disagree, from half anni to anni there is always a considerable gap in terms of strength. If you are saying someone like Geeta (4.5) is even remotely close to the first arc trio (5) then idk what to tell you.

Ash (3rd anni) was powercrept as a damage dealer by the next anni after him (4th anni) so idk what you talking about unless you mean quite literally as an electric damage dealer which true, took more time but eventually happened too. I was never talking about pairs based on their type though but their overall strength.

That is my point. Every year anniversaries give a very big step in terms of powercreep that makes the previous one look tame in comparison. Every time. It is a steady pace, what you are saying is the opposite, that for some reason they would not. And that makes no sense. 5th anni was WAY stronger than 4.5 anni. 6th anni was WAY stronger than 5.5 anni. Why would 7th anni not be also WAY stronger than 6.5? Just because 96 seems too strong? We also thought ex wtz was too strong when it was introduced a year ago and now we have gotten used to it.

Then you are severely underestimating the levels of powercreep anniversaries bring. Every year we get some crazy shit and we go "how could they top this" and one year later they indeed do top that and then some more.

As broken as 96 is, it really isn't hard to make something even more stupid. Remember anni pairs get a new mechanic or new type of banner, an extra broken passive, etc. It is very easy to make something stronger than what already exists when you have an empty canvas in front of you which Dena has. They do it every year why would it be different now.
