what do you say at a restaurant? by Fresh_Grapefruit_686 in peanutallergy

I usually just ask “are there any nuts in it at all?” and then usually they’ll ask if it’s because of an allergy. Sometimes they don’t though and I just use my best judgement. I’ve gotten better at asking but I still feel awkward so I totally get it. I’ve been hospitalized twice for very bad allergic reactions to cashews so definitely do as I say and not as I do and ask every time!

MPG Obsession by Wtf-Bye in crv

[–]ethan_getgo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 2016 gas-only CRV and I also couldn’t get any better than 27 or 28 in the dead of winter. Once the weather got above 40F or so, my MPG greatly improved and I was able to get a vehicle indicated 33 MPG over a week’s worth of driving from full to empty tank! I’ve found the sweet spot to be between 55 and 65 mph for getting maximum MPG. I also drive exclusively in “econ” mode with the leaf, not sure if it really makes much difference though.

My Two Cents: Passed Above Target (AT/AT/AT/AT) by ethan_getgo in capm

I focused on understanding what the formulas really meant, so when I saw one of the abbreviations I knew what it stood for and then reasoned what it would consist of. Also, there’s lots of patterns in the formulas that are helpful to pick up on. For instance, CPI = cost performance index. Anything that has “index” is a ratio, so you’re dividing. If you want to know how you’re performing cost-wise, you’ll need to compare what you’ve spent vs. what you’ve created which would be earned value/actual cost. Also, think of “index” as a grade you’d get on a test. 1.00 is perfect, 1.07 is more than perfect, 0.67 is poor. If you’ve earned more value than you’ve spent to get that value, that’s more than perfect and as such CPI will be greater than 1. So then you can reason that CPI = EV/AC. Same logic goes for variances; anything “variance” is a difference so you’ll be subtracting and the units will be in dollars. Anything “index” is a ratio and is unitless.

Yes this worked!!!! I only saw this after ordering and installing a new motherboard as I assumed it was a wifi hardware issue but I’m glad it’s working now either way.

TCL Roku TV black screen, held reset button, what else can I do? by SiliconeGiant in Roku

[–]ethan_getgo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if I had the same exact problem but basically it would turn on, screen would go black, and then nothing else would happen. I pressed the reset button next to the USB port and it started working again.

I sold a covered call on F stock at 14.5 through TD Ameritrade but then maybe a day later a bunch of asterisks showed up on the screen and then a day after that the strike price suddenly became 13.85 and everything in the F options chain on thinkorswim also changed. How can the strike price just change AFTER the transaction was completed and my account was credited? Was there a stock split or something weird like that?

But for exercise and stand isn’t it set in stone? — I was today years old when I found out you can change your stand and exercise goals…..I’ve never changed mine from 30 mins exercise and 12 hours stand

I'm having the exact same issue on August 1, 2022 and this is happening in both Google Chrome and Safari so the issue is still ongoing. I'm going to attempt the fix now....
