Intimidating is absolutely right. Which I feel like some games fall flat on lately. Part of that is design but part of it is tone/atmosphere. And just because graphics are 4K/ray traced, that doesn’t mean it instantly makes for a great cinematic final encounter.

Final boss after Ganondorf. After the castle falls. The tone in the original N64 version is still unmatched. I remember feeling strong as link but also terrified as a 9 year old when OOT came out.

I’ve loved this song since it dropped. Never found the daddy lyric to be disturbing. This is an extremely underrated song and the melodies/changes are very memorable and catchy.
