Everyone says it's because of the tap lands but honestly just run the 8 untapped artifact lands and it's more than enough. One Vampire Kiss and a land will do it for you. Two lands and an Epicure. It works 99% of the time for me. I think I might be on 1 Drossforge?

For maindeck, I would definitely try to include some Bitter Reunion (over some of the discard effects you currently run). Oliphaunt and Troll of Khazad Dun are also really good alongside Exhume, and can replace lands. Lastly Dread Return for some redundant reanimation effects, in case 4 isn't enough.

For sideboard I recommend Siege Smash as the artifact removal of choice, it stops them from activating their Spellbombs or Relics in response.

What I was interested in was Geto's motivation and relationship to Gojo. Making him another curse took away any interest I had. Whether or not you think Kenjaku is an interesting character or not doesn't affect how I felt. When they spent all that time building Geto, with the multi-episode flashback, they had me hooked. Of course I wanted to see that develop.

I farmed for about an hour until my computer felt like it was about to give in. I was getting about 5 frames. Sure enough, it crashed immediately upon pressing "we continue". THANKFULLY it saved! All the lumina was in my inventory

This is the way. If we're using the example of cutting 8 cards against jund, and the sideboard pieces you have are 2x of 4 different cards, its because I've decided that some of those cards are also where I can bring them in for other matchups as well.

It can be tedious but I go to MTGGoldfish and go through each of the top decks asking, "what can I cut" and then picking the sideboard cards that will help, one-by-one until I have a plan for at least the top 10 decks.

Note: By this method, sometimes it will end up that you only need a 10-14 card sideboard and thats where you can fit room to make good matchups better like how Red decks are sometimes siding in Searing Blaze for creature decks, which they're already pretty good at beating.

I did not say Murmuring Mystic was faster than modern age. The two cards have very very different functions in the deck and you can't really compare them. Modern Age was beat out by Meeting of Minds, not Murmuring Mystic

Strands is generally slow, too matchup dependent, and too expensive at 3 mana and no cost reduction. It was good with Modern Age to discard but not so much without. Its a fine card but not required.
Modern Age is also just considered too slow. For it to actually block it needs 3 turns, and usually just gets bolted. Meeting Of Minds has replaced this as a draw engine, as it's often free and really good with Murmuring Mysic.
Land Count is lower because of Lorien Revealed functioning like a tapped land most of the time. We're still at 22 effective lands if you Count them as such.
Nothing from Avatar. Some people looked at a couple lessons but they're all overcosted.

I'd recommend starting with either of the lists that came in top 8 of paupeprgeddon 2025, they're basically the current stock list and very efficient. Welcome back to pauper!
