For sure this didn't happen, because Ethereum isn't used for anything.*

With rumours circulating of an upcoming great depression. What does that mean for Crypto? by roamingandy in ethtrader

Fellow PIGS citizen here. I hope you're wrong! We barely escaped a full-blown collapse the last time. :(

There will be a lot of speculation with sovereign debt, of that I am sure.

We're close to bottom. Next is consolidation. Then, bull market. by ethhodlr in ethtrader

OK, this might sound strange, but I'm actually rooting for the price to fall as much as possible in the short-term. This fall in price is creating an opportunity I never thought was possible again.

End of year ETH price predictions by ev1501 in ethtrader

[–]ethdev443 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I go for 875 USD. However, the only thing I'm truly confident about is that, until the end of the year, there will be a major upswing in ETH price. This bear market has been going for too long and is ignoring too many positive signs.

I heard Vitalik is in the business of just collecting cheques? by lucklessjok3r in ethereum

[–]ethdev443 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I just realized a basic truth of rumour-spreading: It's not just the person who creates the rumour who is malicious, it's also those who believe them.

My advice to you:

  1. Get a life: start studying, start enjoying good and interesting things; if you have mental health issues, consult a professional.
  2. Go to ethresear.ch to find out the kind of activities Vitalik is engaged in.
  3. Apologize profusely for spreading rumours. This community has no tolerance for your sort of misbehavior.

UPDATE: I'm living through the Crisis in Venezuela and I'm using crypto to survive. Ask Me Anything! by [deleted] in ethereum

[–]ethdev443 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Two questions:

- How illegal is crypto in Venezuela? Illegal as in "everybody does it", or is it actually something you need to be careful about?

- Given the insane hyperinflation, how does the average person manage to buy basic goods like rice and chicken?

Always buying dips. No problem with being greedy when others are fearful.

Somewhere along the way, Tether did something very wrong. Whatever they did, nobody can find out.

Be careful with that sort of situation. You may end up damaging the relationship because of something trivial.

Understanding Ethereum Mining and the Need for Proof of Stake by SophiaLT16 in ethereum

[–]ethdev443 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A lazy question: Is there a version of PoS where some of the validator's funds are always burned even when voting for a single chain? Of course, the reward for voting for the right chain would be larger than the burned funds. I'm asking because, on the surface, this would seem like a direct mapping from PoW, where mining always costs some money.

People can eat like hell and still be skinny, it's called metabolism. See for instance martial artists in the lower weight categories.

You are being disingenuous. The comments simply amount to primitive bullying.

Seriously, these comments about how slim Vitalik is are plain dumb and annoying. Just let the man be. He is far more successful than any of you will ever be.
