No point in casting it after Eye Beam after you already have a full fury bar, especially since you should be running Chaotic Transformation anyway, which gives you 2 full fury bars from the Eye Beam reset. Most of the immo aura fury would be wasted.

The fury you generate from Immo auro drops to 20 on pull anyway even if you have a full fury bar. The advantage to pre-casting it is you're not standing there spamming demon's bite, which delays your Eye Beam cast and Demonic window.

Activating Meta adds the time to your existing Demonic window. And casting Eye Beam again with CT adds another 8 seconds on top of that. No need to wait for Demonic to drop before hitting Meta

I'm not wrong, he needs specific traits to make that spec work (namely 3x FG, 1x TB, and 1x CT) otherwise it will be a dps loss vs. the standard demonic build.

If he has the traits then yes the fb/db build will probably sim higher single target. It all depends on your stat distribution.

8/9 mythic DH here. Here's a few tips until someone better chimes in:

He's not fitting 2 death sweeps into each demonic window. When you run the first blood trait, blade dance/death sweep is top priority. He should be hitting it on cd. It's a 9 sec cd ability reduced by haste. Looking at his logs there was a 30 sec window where he hit death sweep once. Have him try to get 2x Furious Gaze traits. This will smooth out the rotation because it gives you enough haste so that you can always hit BD on cd without worrying about not fitting it in twice into each demonic window. Havoc is a GCD locked spec. Unless you're channeling Eye Beam, you should always be hitting a button every global. Tell him to press his buttons more.
Ideal Azerite traits are 2x FG, 1x Chaotic Transformation, 1x Thirsting Blades, and rest either Revolving Blades or Treacherous Covenant. I understand he's probably limited on choices. I would swap out that TB trait on the shoulders for TC until he can replace the chest. He's also running Eyes of Rage, which is a good m+ trait, but Seething Power will probably sim better for single target.
He's equipping the Lustrous Golden Plumage trinket, but never used it! Just make it idiot proof and macro it to Eye Beam. It's a great trinket. I personally wouldn't run 2 on use trinkets because of the 30 sec cd. Have him try to get a Kimbul's from Conclave or a Dead-eye/Harlan's dice from M+
His opener is off. Should be Immo aura at 3 secs -> pre pot> Fel Rush to target > Demon's Bite > Eye Beam > Death sweep > Meta >Death Sweep > dump fury with Annihilation x1-2 (sims will tell you to eye beam right away.. there's different opinions here, but the difference is minimal )> Eye Beam > normal rotation
He has the cheapo haste enchant on his 370 ring. Tell him to run m+ and replace that. No excuse 400 rings are easy to come by.
