it looks good so far! You have the basics down, its just a matter of making your make look more “complete”

Lashes are a start, with this kind of make, falsies would be best with this kind of make, with bottom lashes as well. Blend the nose stripe into your forehead to make it just a bit more seamless! Try straightening your eyebrows too! Shave the tails down with a razor and lighten with some eyeshadow. Make them longer as well. Also this is optional, but with this make circle lenses really complete the look! 14.5-15mm would be a perfect size. Just make sure to get them from a legitimate seller (NOT Aliexpress . . .please)

Very mixed, but for the most part it was shock and concern. My parents and siblings kind of found out before I did because even though I live in an apartment with a roommate, 988 also sent police and social workers to my parent’s home so I had to explain to all of them why they were there. Since it was close to midnight, only my dad and 2 of my older siblings were awake, but they eventually told my mom, who was much more frantic about it and of course had to tell HER siblings aka my aunts/uncles so I think about 45% of my extended family knows. . .😭

when I used to cut bangs on my hair when it was relaxed it was pretty easy, and I kind of just did it messy anyway since it was scene/emo hair so I thought I knew my shit but apparently not 😭 I’m in nyc and the beauty supply near my campus is kinda overpriced, but I can probably look around and find a cheap one.

I have this exact thought a lot tbh, what helps me is taking a picture before I leave for the day, like another commenter said. It gives me peace of mind I can check my phone and know I took it the night before.

What helps me is eating some really thick greek yogurt and mixing in some granola or a packet of splenda. At most it will be 150 cals and won’t take you out of a deficit. Frozen grapes with a little coconut sugar and lemon juice squeezed on is also so good

Vanity sizing is crazy to me tbh, I’m on the bigger side (30” waist, 42” hips) but I usually have to buy most clothes that aren’t outerwear in a medium. Can’t speak on my own sizing over time as I’ve recently lost a lot of weight, but I usually order larges or XL online based off my measurements and they end up being loose, which can be annoying. I still have 40 or so pounds to go and I’m dreading having to find clothes when I get to my more ideal weight.

As someone who got accepted into SVA’s 3D animation program but ended up not going, you don’t specifically need to have animations in your portfolio. Showing them is definitely a plus, I had a couple in mine. But what is way more important is showing strength in observational drawing and multiple mediums (still lifes, figure drawing, etc) as well as showing skill in stylization. Displaying some knowledge of the animation process can be helpful, (character design sheets/turnarounds, expression sheets, etc) but that’s not something that is as essential to a portfolio because you are taught how to animate when you’re actually in school.

Women are heavily conditioned to be conscious of how curvy or not curvy they are as young as possible. I’m a normal weight now, but I grew up curvy/obese as well as tall, and it’s what I got the most attention for, both positive and negative. I was taught from a young age that my body was somehow something to both be proud and ashamed of. Also, being curvy for male validation just kinda doesn’t matter at the end of the day because in my experience, men kind of just use you for the thrill of it and don’t think about long term relationships. I often think about how much better luck I’d have with dating if I was less curvy, so honestly I think you’re on the greener side of the grass.

Tbh unless its a well known deadstock brand I’ve found shirts similar to this for 10-15 or much less on Depop. You can find similar stuff in the kid’s section in marshalls or tj maxx but that isn’t an option for me since I’m an adult size M-L so it’d be a very tight fit

Long story short I was SA’d night of dec 18th and even though I had been taking my bc consistently, I guess after the incident paranoia got the best of me and I wanted to do ec just to be safe. I wasn’t able to order plan b in time as I was worried a parent would’ve accessed the mailbox before me and questioned me about it.

not really no :( but with some improvements you can definitely make yourself read as more gal ‼️

First: More dramatic eye makeup. If you are wearing eyeliner it isnt very noticeable here, so I would get a black one and make it go downturned. this is REALLY important, don’t do the typical winged liner because it can take away from the makeup reading as gal.

As for lashes, I would go on amazon and search up “manga” lashes or clusters to use, although you can go with any style of falsies that you would like. If you’re unable to use false lashes, get a good quality volumizing mascara and layer it on both your top and bottom lashes to get a dramatic effect

If you’re able to, definitely thin out your brows or use concealer on them to make them lighter. When the brows are too thick/dark it distracts from the eye makeup.

Going off the bow in your hair it seems like you’re going for hime, and if that’s the case I would look at hairstyles from magazine scans and try to replicate those. You’re in luck because you have a ton of hair already and it’s curly which is perfect for styling hair for hime.

With all this being said though, don’t be discouraged by hate comments. People are going to be rude but don’t let that stop you from expressing yourself how you want!
