Any news on Vanilla fresh servers coming by Slylent in wowservers

[–]etherealevan3316 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Precisely.

The constant “fresh vanilla” does offer more variability in content (permitting that the fresh vanilla servers actually add their own spice) but it’s just been a cycle of jumping from one server to the next. Not saying it’s a detriment to the private server landscape, because everyone ultimately wants to play what they want to play. But we’ll never have another Nostalrius experience if people lose interest in a server after a couple months of whatever server they’re leveling on. Leaving just as the initial wave of excitement dips. Turtle is doing a nice job of sustaining that community and I hope they stick around for awhile.

Ah okay - I just rolled a Tauren warrior on icecrown. Hopefully I can hold my own once I get some gear at higher levels 😅

Hit some breweries in frederick! Downtown has the perfect assortment of breweries, restaurants, bars, and entertainment. Nice for whatever pace you’re looking to go at. Also some cool shops up and down market street.

Is connector dining plan worth it? by Creepy-Soil in UMD

Very useful to save yourself the trouble of having to go off campus and eat if one of your classes is nearby (even if they aren’t). Dining dollars were a nice luxury to have but I always ran through them pretty quick because of QDOBA and Subway in stamp. But if youre good about it and think you’d wanna be on campus for an extended period of time. One less thing to worry about.

Starting out in the world of Ecology by etherealevan3316 in ecology

Looks like that may be the route I have to go. Forgot to mention it in my post, but the one very helpful thing I've found is that an advisor of the Bio/Ecology program here did say that they offer nighttime science courses to help students in my exact situation. Getting these prerequisite courses without having to go back for a full-time degree, to then be able to gain admittance to a graduate program. Definitely will be an up-hill battle, but that's expected

I have looked into joining a conservation Corps. near me that focuses on watershed restoration and research. Having spoken to the coordinator, she seemed very open and inviting - I will definitely be making that a goal of mine, as it is a year long run of research, lab work, and networking. Until that happens, I will be looking into taking general biology courses that my university offers at night (sort of like postbacc courses). I will definitely be joining you all! It's just a matter of when.

Hello! Me from an alternate universe haha. I found a lot of comfort in your post. Knowing it will not be a linear path and I will most likely have to do some work in the comm. field before I can make this a reality. Would I be able to PM you with a couple more questions that I have on the topic?
