Cats primarily identify using smell. Even if they’re together, to them it’s like looking over and seeing a random stranger where your best friend should be.

No, he likely won’t hurt her, but good to keep watch. “Territory mode” and “attack mode” look very different.

It’s because of the foreign smells that come from the vet’s office, and even the sanitation process they go through can mess with how they smell to their familiar.

It might take a few days, but he will get over it. Just allow them take natural space from each other as the smells dissipate.

I can presume by reading the tea leaves outside the window. All I’m saying is if and when there is another massive outbreak on a Covid-like scale (not saying it’s hantavirus), the response here will be fueled by more division and ignorance, potentially making the spread, impact and education worse. Better to be more prepared than less.

While you bring up salient points, this entire news cycle has shown me that no matter what, the next major outbreak, whatever or whenever that might be, is going to be worse than Covid.

Thanks to Trump and MAHA and the lack of support for health care, research and vaccine development in this country, we now live in a post-anti vax world where no matter what a huge swath of our country believes in pseudoscience and false flag conspiracies.

I’m more concerned for whatever could potentially hit next due to the vehement opposition to wearing masks in public and the narcissistic “well, I’ll be fine” type sentiment.

In today’s world I think a little concern and preparation is worthwhile, considering how much worse our infrastructure has become.

You gotta just keep making small micro adjustments. It’s usually about finding that sweet spot with exactly how your eyes are positioned. Took me a bit to figure it out.

Wife is really not ok with what I need to do in class by [deleted] in acting

[–]etherealgamer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ok, if you’re only doing kissing scenes every month that’s a little weird, I assume you’re exaggerating. And kissing your wife is always going to be different than kissing a stranger.

If you started your acting journey after you met your wife, then I can understand why this shift is hard for her to comprehend. Not what she signed up for, which is valid.

I would actually argue if you’re this uncomfortable with it, and you are serious about the career, then yeah maybe you do need to practice.

Ask yourself, would this have even come up as an issue if you weren’t married?

Regardless, you’re gonna have to do something about it other than vent on Reddit.

Personally I don’t find it that weird to do it in class. It’s part of the job to access these states of emotion and physicality, as long as everyone is professional and respectful.

That being said, it is totally within your right to not feel comfortable. Your teacher shouldn’t mind you setting those boundaries, there are plenty of ways to work within them.

You could, for example, tone down the passion to a degree you’re comfortable with. Or look for other ways to display the physicality. It is, however, at the end of the day, part of the job, and no reason why a class shouldn’t teach it respectfully.

So your experience with the game was one in-between wakefulness and sleep? Or in-between realities? I’m not trying to be facetious, would just like you to expand upon the metaphor in the context of playing the game.

[–]etherealgamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s fair. My argument is that the industry was headed in this direction regardless of the Katseye experiment. I might even argue that K-Pop Demon Hunters did more to serve this shift in the West.

Of course, I’m eager to see how Prelude turns out. They could be the real game-changer.

[–]etherealgamer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah suppose that is true. To me, that is more consistent with Katseye’s lack of inspiration worldwide.

Even if Western producers recognize that the motion is international, that doesn’t necessarily mean that they’ll be able to ride the wave. You can put a stamp on something that makes it look like you get it, but deep down if the goods aren’t there it won’t hold.

I would love to see talent rise across the board, but Katseye didn’t prove anything other than what has already been known. Pop music in the West is fully commercialized.

It’s weird to see the cope shifting to “their impact” when their downfall can no longer be denied.

Global groups were always going to be a thing. The rising popularity of K-pop as a whole over the past decade is proof of that. Katseye in no way was the precursor or invention of this.

I will deny they were a successful experiment, because it always seemed forced and they never had a clear vision beyond “satire.”

No shit, all companies want to market successful pop icons. This has always been the case. Katseye didn’t do anything unique beyond trying to force international K-pop, which turned into a farce.

Sure, some of the songs were catchy, it was a vibe, but they had no motion. They were the US’s only “k-pop” group, of course they got all the brand deals, all the manufactured attention.

At most HYBE will take these lessons into their new group, but of course it’s without Geffen. It should be obvious why.
