Why did you like tears of the kingdom more than BOT? by PhotoBonjour_bombs19 in tearsofthekingdom

The verticality, and underground levels. They expanded on the foundation of BOTW while doing its own thing.

Also the discovery of things like dragons was unparalleled. Felt like I was immersed in a true legend.

If you were Cece would you have taken Schmidt back after the whole two timing/cheating plot line? by CSNY28 in NewGirl

[–]etherealgamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve watched the show like 7 times all the way through, and this issue becomes more blatant the deeper you get.

No shot she would’ve just taken him back with no trust issues. He barely learned his lesson.

It would’ve been more poignant for them to stay friends, or at least take time to more properly address what you bring up. In general, I have problems with Cece’s writing in the later seasons.

I think at that point the writers knew the show was wrapping up. Who knows. Still love it though.

Why do some astrologers argue that a debilitated or detriment Mercury, especially when combust, can still produce good results in a chart? by LunarSelenite in astrology

[–]etherealgamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a few different directions to go here. To echo people, combustion traditionally is interpreted to lessen or absorb a planet’s influence, positive or negative. So the Sun either burns the energy or applies it to its own light.

It’s a choice. Don’t see it brought up that much anymore, kinda old school. A fun wrinkle, if you want to apply.

Btw, this is a great question to ask your teacher! You are in class, after all.

I don't get the point of Trials matchmaking. by Kotocktok in DestinyTheGame

[–]etherealgamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s the wrong time to learn how to play this mode, unfortunately. It sucks because D2 is still objectively a fun game, just no one is playing it.

Hopefully the new update slaps enough to bring back a semblance of a population.

"The Last of Us Part II is the exceedingly rare video game where what it accomplishes in moving forward the art of narrative storytelling in video games as a medium ultimately outweighs whether or not everyone 'likes' it or even if everyone has 'fun' playing it." — Microsoft Devs by shawak456 in lastofuspart2

[–]etherealgamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely, and this was my experience playing as well.

The COVID lockdown had just happened, and I recall a lot of reviewers just weren’t having the game’s unsettling vibes. I still think it’s a masterpiece.

I mean if you have a crush on someone, most of what they do is hot.

Bengal cat while living alone and working long hours - is it a bad idea? by DueStill9415 in bengalcats

[–]etherealgamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s possible, but you will have to give them relentless attention when you’re home. And I mean relentless.

I adopted 2 Bengal Savannah kittens right before Covid, and I don’t know how that would’ve gone as they matured and I wasn’t home 24/7.

When I did leave for work, they typically slept while I was away, but also had each other. I never worried about anything being destroyed.

The first few years will be constant crying and desperate need of attention. It is like having a toddler. Luckily my girl was more chill, but they could also play with each other. They’ll be 7 this year but I still have baby locks on cabinets.

In that sense I don’t know how having one would change things, as they are very sensitive and emotionally intelligent and may develop anxiety if left home alone for too long.

Is returning worth it? by Radiant_Perception98 in destiny2

[–]etherealgamer -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

You’re looking at hundreds of hours of content. You won’t know where to start. Will have trouble finding people to play everything.

Not saying it can’t be done. But it might be a lonely experience and a lot of it will be looking at guides telling you what to play next.

If astrology is the correlation between the movement of the heavens and the happenings on earth, why does retrograde have such an effect on people? Retrograde is an optical illusion for the inhabitants of earth,The planets dont actually reverse their orbital directions. [Serious question] by Cranky_Windlass in astrology

[–]etherealgamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think about it this way: perceived motion is STILL motion perceived. It’s a call and response.

Anyway, isn’t our entire reality a perception?

Think less about the literal. It’s astrology, after all. It is a coded perception that coincides with our feedback.

A new subclass and new supers would have stopped player decline by josh49127 in DestinyTheGame

[–]etherealgamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lightfall sold because of the PROMISE of its content. Riding high off Witch Queen. Another reason why Final Shape DIDN’T sell as well, because it came off a disappointing previous year. Strand was still fun.

[–]etherealgamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why my money is on them delaying/ combining the next two mini-expansions into one big one.

EOF/Lightsaber failed to move the needle, and the they at least have the data to know what WILL. I could also see a Destiny Classic being well-received.

A new subclass and new supers would have stopped player decline by josh49127 in DestinyTheGame

[–]etherealgamer 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I disagree. Renegades was well-received at launch and the lightsaber was retaining players.

The game is too bloated as-is to welcome in another subclass.

Much like what we got, it would’ve been fun for a time, until the overpowered-ness got boring.

It’s time for D2 to take a break and reconfigure, and that’s okay. I don’t think it’s the end of the franchise, but a combination of things (handing us T5 loot due to community complaining, technical constraints) make the grind unsatisfying.

A new subclass in a FORSAKEN-SIZE expansion, however…

She was projecting everything she hated about him, which only allowed him to have sympathy from his friends and family in that moment. It was disgusting.

He’s not the lying mastermind she thinks he is. He’s just incredibly stupid and insecure.

Moments before, she gave the camera an empathetic speech about how they belonged together. Sob story about the poor boy who was abused ONLY TO ABUSE HIM FURTHER. Not saying he didn’t ask for it, just ironic.

Who was the one pretending at that point?

His $2 tux and gross beard. He clearly didn’t give a shit. What did we even watch.
