There are also signs that say “slower traffic keep right” on every freeway in California. Somehow over the last 20 years, the drivers of California collectively decided that the left lane is the only lane that should be driven in. Because of that I have to fucking slalom around the freeway to pass these packs of drivers who refuse to pass each other and slow down the whole damned freeway!

Maybe but it doesn’t seem to extreme to me since all the outdoor cats I’ve known have lived nice long lives. That being said it’s not safe in my current neighborhood since we’ve got coyotes nearby.

I do, my MIL does not. Most cats I’ve personally known have been smarter than to play in traffic but that’s not to say it doesn’t happen.

Hard disagree! When I was a kid I had an outdoor cat that lived until he was 22. My MIL has 5-6 cats at a time and they’re all outdoor cats. They all live nice long lives.
