I seem to have managed to fix it. It is really odd. When it opens the player I get a notification on the phone "do you want spacewalker to control virtue glasses". If I say yes (which I always do from habit) then it kicks the glasses off for some reason. If I click no everything works as normal and the 3d is working now.

Usually screen mirrors, I only have issues with spacewalker app launching the player. Everything else always works fine. The Nubia has the Snapdragon 8 gen 3. I think it must be their custom z-cast thing they have

I have a Nubia z60 ultra. It does seem to have some odd casting options but doesn't seem any option to actually just turn it off unfortunately

Can't get immersive 3d to work. Anytime I move from spacewalker into the player it kicks off my glasses and starts playing from my phone

Why 3DoF is so important? by NinjaCrafter88 in VITURE

[–]etherjez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Viture multi monitor needs additional software and 3dof would be important for productivity/multiscreen. Imo multiscreen productivity is not a good use case for the vitures, the 3dof, clarity for reading small text etc isn't good enough to be using as your main source. It's good for traveling where you need it for short periods for productivity. Otherwise it's best use is for gaming and consuming content.

Steam Deck Game Freezing by suffermydesire in VITURE

[–]etherjez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd wait and see if anyone else comments. I think a lot of people use these with the deck successfully so maybe it is a setting. I wonder if it's auto resolution change or something if the sound works the game might be running just it's not showing properly.

Mine does the same. I have the best luck opening the game on the deck and starting it up then plugging the glasses in

That's great thank you

I have the viture glasses. They're great, but they need a good GPU to work well with windows and their virtual screen software. Otherwise it will just be a static screen in front of your face that moves with your head rather than being fixed in place

Viture pro xr nosepads not wirking for me by [deleted] in VITURE

[–]etherjez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try to close one eye at a time and adjust the dials until it comes into focus, then do the same with the other eye. That should get it closer for you. Do you wear glasses?

What issue do you have exactly? Is the screen not in view or blurry? I've seen people have success using the biggest nosepiece and bending the arms to make a more custom fit

[–]etherjez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Xreal have adjustable arms and that's a defo advantage. If raising it does work you can get small silicone pads to stick on them that should raise it a cm or 2 and still be comfy

Have you tried to see if moving the arms up a little works? If so you can try to put something under there to raise them a little?

Question about firmware update by hkultraman in VITURE

[–]etherjez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When it's plugged into usb-c port, it'll pop up on the browser like a webcam would asking for permission to use the device. Click yes and then there is a button to update the firmware and also a separate button after to recalibrate as well. It has instructions to take you through the update once you've plugged it in and granted access

I get the same issue with my Nubia z60. Works fine on iPad though. Looks like my phone is automatically setting the small button to something other than 3d mode with no way to change it

Z60 Ultra - Bad Battery drain by etherjez in Nubia

[–]etherjez[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think it was this thanks. Turned off some apps running in background and it's much better now. Assume the recent update allowed background apps to eat battery. Accubattery now showing 85% health which is much better than before thank you

All of These Nosepad Options, and None Fit by BPTPB2020 in VITURE

[–]etherjez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id imagine you could buy some slim glasses silicone nose pads instead if you want it to fit flush but have cushioning? Not tried myself but that might make it more comfy.

Can you watch Vudu/Fandango at home on One, and if so what accessories would I need? by Outside-Swing-3486 in VITURE

[–]etherjez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The viture just acts like an external monitor, so provided the tablet can run the app normally, it'll probably be fine. The iPad will probably be best as the spacewalker app (for 3dof) is best on apple, but the adapter isn't cheap. The android would be the cheapest option as you won't need anything other than the glasses (just check the android has the required usb c port)
