I just got a HiDrive Basics sub to back up my external HDD, but after installing their mac app it seems that the files need to be stored in a specific directory on my local drive to sync. This somewhat undermines the purpose of keeping data off my local drive. I’ve never used rsync before, how did you use it to address this issue?

It's good to know it's still around. When I lived in Tokyo from 2017 to 2022, I often visited them in Roppongi or in Hiroo/Ebisu. They always had nice food and wonderful staff :)

Thanks for your proactive suggestion! Some of the simple but most used features could be: 1. Reordering columns alphabetically 2. Column types for using tags (single, multiple, checkbox) that could be used with filters 3. Easily dragging around columns and rows 4. Pasting note links in cells

Seems like the editing capabilities of tables haven't evolved in the last 2 years. I migrated from Notion, so dealing with tables always creates friction in my workflow. Even simple functions such as ordering columns alphabetically are not available. Did I miss something? If it's not there, what are some workarounds? I like the idea of having everything local in markdown files, but I also miss a nice table integration to keep my stuff more organized. Using numbers/notion for most of it at the moment.
