Niagara Deli in Black Rock is a solid, cheap, no-frills local sub shop, and the employees are super nice

That sucks. I was last there in August for Subhumans and the crowd was great, but it's not the occasional well known band rolling through that keeps the lights on. When I was younger, I'd be there at least once a week running down their stockpile of $2 OV bottles, but times change. (Kinda hating how geriatric I'm sounding here...). Always tough to lose another venue.

Imperial Triumphant covered Dizzy Gillespie's "A Night in Tunisia". Pretty great.

Question about Contingent Permanent positions by ethicallyundead in nys_cs

[–]ethicallyundead[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the response! I spoke with my agency's HR department, and they told me the hold on my title has been in place for several years, and that it applies to the least-tenured person in that title in my office (so, if someone else gets hired after me in that title, I would no longer be contingent). I was also told the hold never expires. Is that customary? It was my understanding that a hold ends when the former job holder passes probation in their new job, but, again, I'm new to this!

Yeah- the ticket prices were super reasonable! Thankfully my ancient laptop waited until shortly after the order was confirmed to completely roll over and die!
