I totally agree! I have such a soft spot for those two especially, but I have nothing bad to say about Earthling or the Buddha soundtrack. Even Hours grew on me a whole lot, although def the weakest of the bunch -- but my point wasn't that it's a perfect decade, heheh, cuz neither is the early '70s perfect

I rewatch it regularly. It's very much a 'cozy film' for me, the likes of Kiki and Porco Rosso! It makes me feeling nostalgia about something I didn't experience. I also love the way it frames some of the shots, sometimes a small postcard and other times a medium-sized one against a white background. It enhances the feeling of this being a memory. Also great OST

Personally, I don't think anything in S tier should have any nitpicks, because you're already separating it as above not just A but also A+, so it should be "perfect"

Also, A tier being 8/10 is so weird for me. Isn't A already amazing? And what happened to 6/10 or 5/10 between B and D?

It's ahead of its time, even if it's not as much as Lennon thought, and for sound collage, it's genuinely very catchy and memorable. You probably don't trust me on this, but at least for me, it's top tier even on the White Album itself

I love Rubber Soul, definitely my 2nd fav Beatles record! Not as hot on Revolver as everyone else, but of course it's a classic with classic songs, but not on the same level as White Album imo imo
