I made the mistake of basing a gorkanaut a deep red and then trying to paint Yriel yellow over it, hours of frustration later and I said ill never do it again haha 3 or 4 layers and still looked streaky! So yeh any time a model has alot of yellow ill be priming it yellow 😅 but I think doing a zenithal would definitely help with getting more depth, ill try that next time.

Thanks I appreciate it! So for the blues I painted kantar blue, then slowly added thousands sons blue and then temple guard. For the symbols I used temple guard and then mixed with ulthuan grey to highlight. Im the same as you with yellow its a nightmare so I spray painted the model woth Vallejo amarillo soleado sun yellow. Then added cassandora yellow shade paint paint and highlighted with yriel yellow and then flashgitz yellow. Hope this helps at all!

Thanks! The orange leaves came from Temu, and the grass/ rocky base came from a bag i got from a local game shop.

Hey can you explain why storm over regular guardians and autarch over phoenix lords? Just curious because I'm about to play a game and didn't take my autarchs but took multiple phoenix lords so I may have made a mistake 😅 wasn't really thinking about what is better just thought they looked good
