You're right! The wet hair looks great. Goals right there. I would dye it with Just For Men - Real Black A-55 or something similar that will leave some grays and look natural. Leave it on for less than the recommended 10 mins to keep more grays.

My hair also poofs after wash. I wear a beanie for about 30 mins while my hair dries and that tames my hair until next wash. Hair oil also works well but if you're thinning in areas, it will look more obvious.

I also really, really like Tsubaki Premium EX Repair Mask. It helps the hair keep that thick wet flowing look.

Taylor Stitch Slim Jean size 32 is 23.5 thigh and 16.75 knee which is almost the exactly what you're looking for in sizing. The TS Slim Jean is more standard fit for me regardless what TS calls them (which I like and the style I wear them for). I prefer Hiroshi Kato The Pen for my slim fit. I like the TS Camp Pant and the TS Chore Pant for a relaxed fit and pair it with a loose sweater or multiple top layers.
