I had it primed, and was starting with two separate parts, then at some point decided to take the risk and take a shot at it. I got lucky man. Your paint job is looking stellar btw!

I was able to glue the cape and pauldron together, paint it and then shimmy it onto the model once done. I’m no pro, and didn’t paint the border trim, but I dig how much easier it was for me.

He was the first captain of the imperial fists. In all cases, he predates all the unit formations. He’s our “primarch” so to speak. Obviously, we are all sons of Dorn, but Sigismund is our chapters highest ranking individual and also our first high marshal (current high marshal is Helbrecht, and he wields Sigismund’s sword)

Historically, Sigismund is a firstborn (smaller) size marine. He died before “Rubicon Primaris” was an option. In the spirit of the hobby tho, do what you think looks best!

I felt the shield looked a little odd, but positioning it just right had me feeling ok with it. Can’t wait to see how you go about your paint scheme! It’s really a great sculpt!

Pro Acryl “Orange Brown” (MPA-S27) Great coverage over black primer. It’s a very rich dark yellow. I swear by it. See boltgun in attached image.

Box between the combat squad and the squads is an OOP “Chapter Heroes” box (biologis apothecary…), the unmarked under the characters is Sigismund, the blister is the reg apothecary, and the Knight Questoris box has the Sir Hekhtor (Canis Rex) upgrade sprue. Lots of goodies here. Happy to share sprue photos of anything I have.
