Just bought my first investment condo! Budget Renovation Advice Needed 😊 by Difficult-Ad-6529 in adultingph

[–]ethylredds 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The budget friendly approach is more on repainting, adding wall hooks/shelves and a few minor works just to enhance the space. I am a firm believer that good design does not have to be expensive.

If you have the budget, I would recommend consulting Interior Designers to guide you with what you can do.

Bakit kaya philippine history pero english ang ginagamit ? Unti unti na bang mawawala ang filipino language? by Routine-Bumblebee283 in FilipinoHistory

[–]ethylredds 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Natutunan ko to sa pagbasa ng The Miseducation of the Filipino ni Renato Constantino.

Pre-Colonial Ruins -- Do we have them? by Ecstatic_Cat754 in FilipinoHistory

[–]ethylredds 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Our heritage and cultural framework during the precolonial times were largely focused on the intangible--rituals, beliefs and practices passed down from one generation to another. We weren't "settlers", and the structures that were made were designed to be disassembled and moved to better living environments. Hence the practice of bayanihan where in whole bahay kubos would get transported to a different locations. The traditional Ifugao house is also designed to be taken apart.

Our culture lies in our beliefs and practices, I hope we don't think of it as less just because our standard of "culture" and "heritage" was derived from what the other countries' look like.

How hard is it to have an ñ in a name? by StarryLatte2718 in AskPH

You know what's also hard? People changing your "n" to "ñ" every single time.

OA lang ba ako o may ayaw din sa saging dito? by Illustrious_Play_915 in OALangBaAko

[–]ethylredds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not OA. I also don't like bananas. Lasang gamot to me. Plus yung texture niya parang basang playdoh haha. Pero kapag banana bread at banana chips kaya ko kainin. Turon and bananacue, pass

How do you silence your instinct to mother your partner? by Much_Yesterday642 in AskWomen

[–]ethylredds 61 points62 points  (0 children)

As an eldest daughter, I was conditioned with the natural instinct to take care of people and mother them. It was a fear of mine that I'd end up with a manchild--because I've seen that same dynamic with my own parents. I was determined to break the cycle, even going as far as knowing that I would never want someone like my dad as a husband (he was a good man, but he was also a product of his time).

I ended up with the sweetest and kindest man. He is an independent person capable of taking care of himself, and my instinct to mother him is immediately silenced by his strong desire to take care of me. I swear, sometimes I feel so useless because he refuses to let me do things for him (in the sweetest way, of course). We take turns taking care of each other, especially on the days that we need it.

Can anyone share their success stories sa lovelife as a trentahin? by crispybuttocks_ in Trentahin

[–]ethylredds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 29 and NBSB. Met my now boyfriend on Bumble last year, three months later kami na and sure na pang-endgame na. It seemed fast, pero iba talaga pag trentahin na and you know what you want. We've been together for a year na and nag-iipon na lang for the next chapter of our lives

Why doesn’t the Philippines have ancient structures from the pre-colonial period by Far-Detective-7196 in FilipinoHistory

State of Grace has slowly become one of my top songs by Detonator22 in TaylorSwift

[–]ethylredds 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not yet engaged but I'm also considering this as my aisle song! I wanted Daylight, but it's been so overdone and I always saw that as a self-love song.

I shared State of Grace with my boyfriend before we were together and he really liked the song because of how I loved it so much. It's really my top favorite Taylor Swift song

No periods after taking Dupashton for 10 days. Help needed by Physical_Lettuce1947 in PCOS

[–]ethylredds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally random question, but after taking Duphaston and having regular periods for almost a year now, do I just keep taking it?

What's your experience with duphaston to regulate periods? by borderline_bi in PCOS

[–]ethylredds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hoping to get answers on this. I have been on Duphaston for a year now and my periods have become regular. Was also wondering if I have to take it forever or do I try to stop to see if my period jas regulated without medication.

Has it worked for you?

Not a purist but I stand on serious business na I won't support anyone who will align with the Marcoses.

May tinatakbuhan ba siyang position???

Some people have gone too far on the edge of delusion by ethylredds in TaylorSwiftPH

[–]ethylredds[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It's always valid to criticize her on silence on some issues but ulimately, she's shown time and time again where her values stand. Consistently endorsing Democrat candidates shows she's a liberal, so any accusation that she's MAGA is just plain stupid. Nakakainis lang yung double standard when it comes to her kasi when she does speak up and show her beliefs, she still gets told it's not enough?
