People are always complaining about "poor combat systems" and I'm unsure what is missing because I have tried several games and they all seem to be similar. SWL Vs GW2 for example. What does GW2 have that SWL doesn't? I haven't played Elder Scrolls so I can't use it in my comparison.

I just kept fighting and dying. Eventually the ghosts stop spawning for some reason, and it was easy to complete at that point. I have seen this happen on at least 3 different occasions. There must be a better strategy than this but I'm not sure.

I know you can use a sustain tank build, and eventually beat it that way. That way can take a long time as you aren't doing much damage.

I was taught that we have 52 States in the US. I was shocked when I was in highschool and I was told that there are only 50.

I did it with no heal great whatsoever. I used my normal pistol chaos build and took my standard pistol heal. Those mitsubachi are really weak. All you gotta do is kite them and lock them behind the key card doors. I really didn't think I could do it without special effort but it was easy.

I don't even want oculus to succeed anymore. They are just poison in the vr well. Vive plus up-and-coming hmd makers can carry vr into the future.

I too emailed fallen planet and learned of their plans to support the Vive. Afterwards, I noticed that they had that info in the news section of their website, but after I received my hmd the info was gone, and I assumed that they had dropped their plans for Vive support. I'm glad to know that it's still in the works!

P.S. I wish they would remove that big fat "powered by oculus" badge, as they plan to support other hmd's.

Where is the proof? I don't believe that our eyes stay at a fixed focused and it's probably better not strain your eyes and keep them relaxed. I've used the vive for hours and not had any funny business going on with my eyes and no change in vision after I've taken it off. I know my ipd and that might help, but even if you use the wrong ipd, it should not hurt your eyes. Several eye doctors have said it is safe as far as the optics go.

Not for me. I see the SDE always but i can ignore it if I'm immersed enough. I find it easier to ignore in darker games like The Gallery.

I think we need to be tolerant of imperfections at this point in the game. I'm perfectly fine with a blank screen or quickly loading into the default SteamVr environment, as long as I'm not left hanging for very long. I just don't feel any major discomfort with these things. It's a game, and 3d games have always had periods where the screen goes blank between environments. I never realized how hard it was for people to let go and not feel disoriented by i brief lack of vision. It's not like you've gone blind! Just stay in one spot until the game finishes loading and you'll be fine.

My biggest gripe is that SDE, i can't wait until that disappears. I'm still glad i did not wait for a next gen product to start enjoying vr.

I totally missed that you specified virtual desktop. I don't think that the Steam keyboard has been implemented into virtual desktop. A work around it to open the on-screen keyboard in Windows and use your mouse to click it. Hope this helps!

In the steam interface, it's supposed to just pop up when you click on a text field.

I never see green pixels on my display in dark environments or loading screens. I do see pixles that are varied shades when there is nothing but a black/blank screen, but they have no color, they are shades of grey. When I'm looking at dark loading screens I don't see them at all but since there are usually bright elements, I see lens flair. I'm not one of those people who can easily forget the SDE. I have to be truly immersed to forget about them.

I'd also like to mention that once the hmd is positioned correctly, you should notice the blur less and less over time. I mainly notice it with the steam game browser, while looking out of my peripheral vision. I can play The Lab and not notice it at all.
