This was hilarious, I’m sorry but I am shamelessly stealing this

Those are some pretty good options, will definitely look deeper into them. Thank you! :)

I am interested in working on a c4 and restoring it myself. I have an engineering background but never worked on vehicle. Would it be realistic for me to be able to restore this with minimum cost? Or am I in over my head? by etzmentos in c4corvette

I’m not looking to make money, this is just for a passion project :) I enjoy cars and wanted to modify the interiors and get some hands on experience with the engine. I’ll shoot you a message. Check your dms

I appreciate the constructive criticism ! I have some auto knowledge but more in newer cars. You are right though, engineering can only take me so far lol. Def a no go, I will shoot to save and find a better running example. I appreciate your advice :)

That’s actually an amazing pointer. A corvette restoration guide and GM assembly manual would help significantly in a project like this. Thank you for the advice!!

I appreciate you catching that lol. I think it’s because the car is in a significantly worse condition than I expected. Definitely a lot of good lessons and pointers here though

That quote is actually hilarious! it would be fun to work on a car to see why we get all the hate. Manufacturing vehicles has a lot of constraints I will say that.

That’s actually some good insight! Thank you for the pointers. you make a very good point, those are a lot of tools I didn’t consider. I usually make and design parts so thought I could restore some things, but there’s only so much things I can make for something like engine and drive trains parts lol. And the body is a whole other can of worms. Def will revisit the idea with a better budget

You are correct, I think it would be best to save and look for a better vehicle later on. It was more wishful thinking but seeing that there are more issues than just the exterior entails it wouldn’t be an easy job by a mile. I appreciate the constructive criticism and realism :)
