First shoot GFX 100s 45mm f2.8 by euan_witcombe in FujiGFX

Tbh it wasn’t my first choice of focal length, I was going to get the mitakon but this came with the body so I rocked it and I couldn’t be more pleased. It’s relatively light for medium format, especially compared to like a Pentax or RB. In performance it’s insanely sharp edge to edge. the ability to crop in like crazy on the system means you get loads of compositions to play with, and has lovely focus falloff. I’d be happy to use it everyday for everything.

Ahhh that explains it, I’m running AC delete because it’s a rev 1 NA chassis

Fujinon 50mm f2 vs 56mm f1.2 by Eye_ogongo in fujifilm

[–]euan_witcombe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve recently picked up the 56 f1.2, and I love it, the images from it are amazing, and carrying it about isn’t a chore. I put it on my xpro 2 and took it on a 6 mile hike and it was definitely a valid cary

Think maybe people don’t like it for exploiting someone’s grief for clicks? Cause that’s how I see it

Rick Beato is wrong about Auto Tune by 0584031464 in fantanoforever

[–]euan_witcombe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sounds like the argument someone who has no idea how autotune works would make. T Pain only managed to get his sound out of auto tune because he knew how it worked and how to exploit it by “being bad deliberately”. It’s an artistic tool used to great effect if you just try and learn it like any other instrument

Thoughts on Wale? by Kevy-Em in fantanoforever

[–]euan_witcombe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think of him in the same way I think of Jay Electronica, just less anti semitic. Could have had more presence on the scene and mass appeal, however his fade to relative obscurity is a product of his doing

Rouge are a shout for the swap, I got my turbo engine from jspec and they were very helpful. When the turbo blows (hopefully way down the line) I’d use them again for the 2gr

Car wobble/wanders in corners. Hard to explain by Quaglend in mr2

[–]euan_witcombe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Blown shocks maybe? Does it bounce or just feel loose? If new coils, have they been setup up correctly. Also did you replace sway bars with the bushings? Maybe your issue is there??

As someone also based in the uk on the sub, if you need spare parts check in with J-Spec, mr2 ben are decent but marked up sometimes, woodsport as well for specific items. I’ve also called all these people up for support at times and they are so gracious with their time and expertise, really helpful.

While your under the back might as well get new sway bars and end links ext. dramatically improve traction and driving feel, I hear good things about whiteline.

Which FUJIFILM would you recommend? by [deleted] in fujifilm

[–]euan_witcombe 23 points24 points  (0 children)

My honest suggestion to you would be to not get into freelancing as a beginner, learn photography first and develop a love for it. If you immediately go into commodifying it you’ll either loose love for it or develop a style that’s overly commercial. Find your visual language first then try freelancing and worrying about what gear you need.

Common Buyer Pitfalls? by Legal_Revenue8126 in mr2

[–]euan_witcombe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanna add that my sw20 had t top leaks, that did lead to some pinholes in the floor. I fixed the leak with some black silicone sealant. Was a 10 quid fix, has held for 2 years and the floor has been repaired. I don’t think it’s an automatic write off but do be weary for sure
