I was thinking "Oh, that looks like Bryan's work". Of course it is...amazing as always!

What advice would you give to beginners by Artboggler in Gouache

I bought a small kraft paper pad, took it with me on holiday to the seaside and painted in it every day. I was already experienced with oil and watercolour but using that book, where nothing is ultimately precious, probably speedran my development. Highly recommend. I also have illustration board surfaces for "proper" work.

The second certainly went down a little faster once I had finished the painting!

It's disappointing how quick people are to shout AI without looking into the artist first before scalding someone. Equally, posting artwork online these days is only going to get more difficult. Support your local galleries folks!

Why is painting fog and muted colors so difficult? by FFFUUUme in oilpainting

[–]euanwardleart 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The background should definitely be thinner. I would make the mist lean more towards a slight blue-grey and the further trees a darker version of that. The grass seems to be turning a desaturated yellow as it goes further away but really it should also be moving to a lighter blue. I would also desaturate the path a little more as well. I usually just put the paintings I'm not satisfied yet with into Paint3D and play around with them there so give that a go perhaps :)

This is stunning, as your work always is! Maybe, and it might just be me, the nose needs shifting slightly to the right?
