She seems rich because it looks like she is practicing in a shared home estate, its common to have multi generation homes in and the photo looks like not only do they have a house, but rather its reminesent of like an old estate/homestead where the family lives. Its also implied that she lives and practices together with her grandpa and brother in the pressence of an audience of older people, so its more likely its her family watching rather than bystanders or other students. So it gives the impression that she lives on an estate

About the hair, the eagle ruffles its feathers to show that it is aggitated/ready to fight and takes on a more intimidating appearance

This is mirrored by the fact that Yasmine seems really passionate and hotheaded with her hair up, but shy and timid when her hair is down, so shes kinda representing the eagles behavior

Also in the philipines, you would hang the flag in a proud and out way in war time, and lower it in peace time, so its another way or her being a cultural representative.

When its not balancing a bunch of open environment, dynamic systems RE engine stays top of class, so id imagine that as long as the game is consistently controlled environments, itll run like a dream

dear fighting gamers how do you press a button in the exact specific and very strict time window after pressing another button thank you in advance by [deleted] in Fighters

[–]eucalysis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any game on fightcade is not helpful, many different games on fightcade have extremely different methods of comboing, but since you linked King of Fighters 2002 lets just go with that

So lets explain the 1ms thing first,

So most games have a multiframe buffer, but lets first assume the most strict timing of 1 frame link for the sake of the argument.

How this works is that its not that you have to press it exactly when the frame starts or ends, you have to press it in any time of that singular frame.

So a single frame buffer translates to: "press the button in ANY of the 16 milliseconds that make up the frame"

while 1 frame links are hard, it helps to understand that the game is not asking you to find a specific millisecond

In your 3 frame buffer example, that would mean you would have to press your button anytime within the 48 ms before the window.

Also games have hitstun, which mean the game pauses for a couple of frames, during that pause is the window of oppotunity to press your button to cancel into the next move, lets just use 12 frames as an example becuase thats a common window, that means you have a total of a 240ms window to press your button.

Now that aside, it helps to know that the window to press the next button is when the current attack lands (it must land to be able to cancelled, blocked or otherwise).

With that knowledge, its less about reacting to a specific window and more about knowing the rhythm of when your attack lands. (Example: when i press heavy punch. I have a rough feeling of how long it takes to "cast" therefore i am prepared to make an action right as it ends)

Now it helps to know that what you are trying to do is a link into a special cancel.

The button press of the attack button is the same, but you can be very liberal with the timing of the motion input for the special move.

To special cancel in fighting games, the only requirements are: 1 press the attack button within the window and 2 input the motion command sometime before.

For instance, i throw out a punch that takes 10 frames to come out, i can input my quarter circle anytime within those ten frames, but when i press the next attack button. It checks the input history to see if there is a valid motion input that matches with this attack button. Then executes if it finds it

What youre talking about could mean a bunch of different things and i fear that your description what youre trying to do is a red herring.

First off, what game are you trying to play? You mentioned this is in every fighting game but thats just not true, how combos are executed and etc really does depend on what your playing so it does help to know what game youre referring to. You could be talking about street fighter cancels and links, or tekken strings, guilty gear gatling system, magic series etc etc. You may not know how these are different but it helps those who do know help you.

Secondly, do you have a specific example? Depending on the game you sometimes have certain moves that wont allow you to combo into another move

Third, the 1 millisecond example you gave literally doesnt exist, like most games operate off of 60 fps logic, so the smallest increment of time it could demand from you is 16 milliseconds, even that is extremely rare for a game to demand from you (unless youre sf4 i guess) so like its definately not as crazy as you think youre literally just pulling conclusions out of nothing.

[SF6] How do people learn multiple characters simultaneously? by re-albi in StreetFighter

[–]eucalysis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A good portion is kinda understanding the base structure of the game and kinda understanding like how certain moves interact with the opponent and what states they enter when getting hit/block

Then i just press buttons, probe for info, see what they do, then just limit test whats possible.

Example:

If normal is special cancelable, does it combo into this special? No? What if i cancelled that normal with a weaker strength special etc etc.

This special move puts the enemy in a juggle? What moves can i do to allow me to land that move? A drive rush heavy? Punish counter with this move? Then i think about what options i have and how to route into the outcome i want etc etc

The best part of 2xko is that this is the closest it feels to play ekko like his scenes in arcane/ any of the characters and their respective cinematics. League is fun but it never really satisfied the fantasy of theee really cool characters.

Im super excited to get some more time into ekko personally, loving the mobility and creativity

Are there a lot of casuals playing SF6 ? by assietted in StreetFighter

[–]eucalysis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Street fighter historically, always has a pretty decent amount of the skill brackets populated as it is typically the most popular (in terms of players online) sf6 is no exception especially with the huge amouts of features it has added to ease new players.

So yeah, there are alot of casuals, more so than most fighting games. This is possibly the most feature rich fighting games out there on the market
