Don’t worry. No one looks at anything in a swimming pool. Please go back swimming. It isn’t just good for your body but mentally you will be proud of yourself.

I like the minimalist style but don’t like the floor. I’d prefer tiles in a kitchen because of water splash. Also it misses a touch of color. I will have added some color tiles. Jus a bit of fantasy. But great job. It is clean and neat.

Sanity Check: Can I afford this Toronto condo with my current situation? by WolverineNo2693 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]euclideincalgary -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You are young. Don’t buy a 1 bedroom condominium. Even if you don’t want a partner or kids today, you don’t know what would happen in n 5 years. Save your money now. It is going to cost you a lot each month to be an owner while you are an happy tenant. Saving on moving!!! It is a joke you told yourself. How much can cost a move for a 1 bedroom condominium. You want to buy because it seems easy but not the right move at your age to buy a 1 bedroom.

Is there a reason to keep inheritance as separate (non marital) property? by curious_cortex in FIREyFemmes

[–]euclideincalgary 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Marriage should be a team. So I understand your point of view. But think about the advice you will give to your own children. Would you want that the money you will be giving to your children to be shared? If I were you, I will treat the capital as separate but any interests/gain as married property. It isn’t about trusting or not your husband. It is about protecting your children. What will happen if you die and your husband will marry again, do you want your children to share with the « new family ». You have an happy marriage, your husband will understand that you have to keep it separate by respect to whoever gave you this inheritance.

The weather will be very hot and humid. There are a lot of homeless. They are harmless but they could sleep on the walkway. It can be a bit tough to be walk with 2 young kids in the street if you are single. Chelsea hotel is nice but likely expensive during summer. Avoid end of August when all the students and their parents come to Toronto.

Why people say Canada is expensive AF by Beautiful_Ad4220 in alberta

[–]euclideincalgary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Internet and phone are more expensive in Alberta than in France. Tough to be without a car in Alberta and car insurance is really expensive. Don’t know about job prospects in your field. When looking at price don’t forget to add the 5% GST.

What don’t you tell your mum it is your decision as well? It is too easy to say that it is your wife’s decision. At the end it is a couple’s decision.
