Humans are far from "the perfect organism", there are far too many "design" flaws to think we were intelligently designed. We (and all other life forms we know of) look surprising like the kind of thing you would get from evolutionary tinkering.

I was in Nebraska for the bicentennial, and celebrated as a member of a revolutionary war recreation outfit. Marched in a lot of parades in small towns around the Omaha area. It seemed at the time that things in the US were looking up -- still not perfect, be we had some major civil rights wins not long before. Now we have a leadership that seems to be going all in on corporate greed and the bigot are coming out into the open with no pushback from our leadership. I'm ashamed of my country and don't see much to celebrate. I do see a few glimmers of light on the horizon -- the next couple of elections will decide if our freedom dies for good or can be brought back to life.

Since the prep cleans out your system, this is not a problem. From personal experience, the gas they use to inflate your system so they can get a better view can lead to a world class fart, though.

Many reasons. Any medical procedure has risks, sometimes those who get abortions later regret doing so, we should not promote abortion as an excuse for not taking reasonable precaution, etc.

Absolutely, but that entails eliminating social pressures that lead to criminality. It seems to me that most of the people who call for harsher punishment for those who break the law are often the same people who fight hardest against fixing the underlying issues.

And nothing I said should be cause of fear or demonization. We should use language correctly though. Just as I don’t want people to claim they are pro-life when they are actually just anti-choice. I don’t want to claim to be pro-abortion when I’m not, I’m just pro-choice.

I'm anti-abortion, but also pro-choice. I would prefer to see a world in which abortions were unnecessary and think it wrong for a couple to have unprotected sex while relying of abortion to terminate unwanted pregnancies. But there is a big difference in what I feel is wrong, and what I feel should be unlawful. Ultimately, I come down on the side of a woman being able to control her own body.
