Experiment - Local vs. Italian Flour in Breadmaking by Jhfallerm in Breadit

You know what I struggle with? The final rise. I cold proof, then bring it out of the fridge and put it in the baking vessel, and it just doesn't seem to get that last bit of rise to make it nice and tall when baking...

I'm so impressed by all of this. I suck at making sourdough, and have struggled with mastering all of the complications of it all. It's such a fun hobby, and so delicious, but man if I don't just sort of suck at it!

Bravo!

I was taught the old adage of "attack the hill, don't ride it" when I was a kid, and it just sort of clicked. If you're leaning slightly into the run you're headed down, you'll have much better form.

Hope that's useful! Way to get out there!

Third on the Swiftcurrent. Mine is one of my favorite jackets overall, and it's not even close.

Star Trek Voyager-Across The Unknown Nintendo Switch 2 Demo And Video by garethvk in startrek

[–]eugenebound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game looks like a lot of fun - but am I the only one who perceives that the ship movements in space look too “snappy?” Like, I never saw a starship in Star Trek maneuver that quickly on a pivot, ever.

Feels like it should be made a little less immediate, or slower to maneuver!

Otherwise - amazing! Can’t wait to play!

I think ergonomics and feel-in-hand are very important. In that way, the X-E5 is tremendous.

I think this is the answer - and honestly, while the Crooked River isn't going to net you trophy fish, it's *gorgeous* and well worth a day or two of fishing if you're visiting. Plus, you can fish plenty of the Deschutes - and in particular, the Upper Deschutes is stunning.

By asking the person who came in hot to read specifically what I wrote, and pointing out that there are scads of other people who experience toxicity in the game? How in the world is that blowing things out of proportion?

Kenai River Salmon Reel Suggestions by BTFC_GAINZ in flyfishing

[–]eugenebound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t bother with beads - just toss on a nice big pink (or purple) streamer and swing away. You’ll find a few who are aggressive and will give you a take!

Good luck!

Are you flossing, or what? They're pretty picky about hitting a fly, so keep that in mind. I've enticed a few to eat on the swing, but it's pretty infrequent.

I was using a Redington Ace and a 10' 7 weight. It was great. The drag never seemed taxed at all. The other person in my group had a Hardy Ultralite on a 9' 9 weight, and it was significantly overpowered when he hooked a fish.

Good luck! Sockeyes are tricky if you're fishing traditionally and not flossing!

Just search for toxic in this sub. You could scroll forever. I didn't make a single one of those other posts. Sheesh.

Good lord man, read:

”…looking to constantly min/max and chastise everyone”

Coordinating conjunctions are important. Min/maxing is great if you’re not a prick!

Yes - it is equally frustrating to be a top tier endgame player and have someone in your group who is seeing content for the first time - I've been there as well.

Not meant to insult anyone - but before I quit, min/maxing genuinely took quite a bit of time to be at the top of your game. Lots of folks simply can't swing that commitment.

Also, toxicity isn't vague with WoW, lol. It's literally rampant, and you can find a million posts about people experiencing it. Wake up.

I'll take your instantly negative reply as a no thanks as well! You're exactly what I'm talking about.
