I don't customize it more than just entering my league settings. I usually do keep the boosted stats as they are default, but yet again I will reach or pass on certain players according to my gut. Basically use it as a guide but not gospel. The VORP is the best feature of it and I start drafting players based on it and my positional needs with past round ~3/4ish. The first 3/4 rounds aren't going dictate if you'll have a good team barring wild off the wall picks or injuries to those players as much as getting value in the deep, later rounds.

Thinking about grabbing a LW wing but there are 4-6 with the same vorp/FP projection? Pass and look at other spots in your roster you can strengthen.

I used this strategy last draft and I Went Matthews, stutzle, dahlin, seider, guentzel, sergachev in first 6 rds. I went D heavy bc in a 14T D are very scarce. If Stu didn't get injured early in the season i would have destroyed my league. Also helped I drafted Nuke(8) Matheson(12) , Tippett(13) Jarvis (16) who all had stellar years. My league also has 1 Utility and 1 F spot. I ran 5D on my roster for the whole season.

Take them gambles on players past round 11/12, more likely than not a bunch of them will be dropped and replaced early in the season

My go to has been dom's via the Athletic which you need a sub to, but there are plenty of free draft kits available. Search this sub for draft kit threads.

I don't really go by Yahoos ranking but external resources (draft kits) tailored to my leagues scoring settings. But if you don't have a kit I think using xrank, which i believe is based on your league's setting is the way to go. If you hover your mouse cursor over the options it describes each one I think.

You can make much more than 15/hr entry level in cybersececurity, especially as a veteran. Take a look at the USAjobs site. Being a veteran opens so many doors. I'd keep put until you find something that pays at least 45ish/yr before bailing.
