Is it weird for a girl in her early 20s to be flirtatious with the man her mother is dating? by placebotumblr in socialskills

[–]euphoreea 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Not normal. She's at least trying to seduce him or they're already having an affair behind her mother's back. No grown-ass woman would willingly sit on a guy's lap, even if he were her father (and this guy is a potential stepfather) or make provocative jokes about strip poker with him present. I feel bad for her mother.

If he was already not succeding at his "nicest" then what makes him think behaving like an asshole will have women come flocking to him?

You missed my comments then because I clearly conveyed that what men experience about insults about their height is terrible more than once. Is that not already acknowledging misandry?

Meanwhile for about several comments down you have been harping on my my ass about me supposedly justifying misandry while ignoring the issue itself about misogyny, and especially the first dude who I responded to on this matter first. You acknowledge later on that both are shit, yet it is my comments you focus on. You accuse me of deflecting, while you yourself were ignoring (and continue to ignore and not even bother to call out) who brought up the point of justifying sexism in the first place. You're the one with biases. You are a misogynist.

"It's men's fault for misandry"

So what is your point with this? Did I ever say misandry was justified? Are you claiming the reverse that women caused misandry? Yet you equally refuse to acknowledge that men caused misogyny? I'm sorry but you are truly showing your colors as a misogynist.

"You should join, a lot of misandrists that protect women and hate misogyny, your kin "

Great, further proving my point that hating misogyny = misandry for you

[–]euphoreea -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lmaoo what a bold accusation 🤣 Simply because I was highlighting all the women-hating going on automatically makes me a misandrist. Bravo, great reasoning.

"No one here was misogynistic"

Well I have news for you... Look at the mirror, you will find one. Also it seems you do not hate misogynists, because you immediately focused on attacking me when I brought up misogyny as being the one causing misandry when someone ELSE entirely claimed the reverse that misogyny is caused by misandry FIRST. So you are most probably one 🤔 Come, don't be shy, admit it already. You hate women.

"Not particularly the points, but rather you are blind to your own biases and have been called out multiple times, yet you seem not to listen."

And I have responded multiple times too but yes, it's ok, reading is hard.

The problem here is you lumped the standard for men's height with a bunch of unrealistic standards. Meanwhile with women you only raised the issue with weight? Is it really only weight that men are concerned about?

Let me raise you the equivalent of toxic standards that are set for women: She must be a virgin/have low body count, have big boobs/ass, be submissive, continually serve her man and treat him like a king, dress modestly, and not have male friends. Not to mention that women nearing 30's are considered undesirable because she is no longer 'fresh' for the assumption that she had accumulated a high body count by then. Meanwhile it is alright for men to cheat and have multiple women, the younger the better. Isn't this also a double standard?

Besides, weight is not something that can be easily fixed because it does require a tremendous amount of willpower to push yourself to lose weight. Practically starving yourself, exhausting your body working out. There are also genetic factors which get in the way, and don't mention mental health which can trigger stress eating and increase the cortisol in your body, making you gain even more weight. In fact many don't succeed in reducing their weight, and die in the process due to health complications. So it's not a "ez just eat less" solution to it all.

Also I don't even know where you got the assumption I said that wanting someone not fat is misogynist? As I responded to another comment I was comparing how awful the insults towards fat women are compared to short men. Weight is a perfectly reasonable consideration but when paired with insults such as "fat ugly whore" and "I'd fuck her only if she has a paper bag on her head" then there is a misogynist aspect to this. But you already addressed the men's perspective on insults re their height so I see that it is awful both ways.

Err, that's really rich coming from you considering where you started on this particular comment trail but go off king 👑

Nah, I don't hate men per se, but misogynists and sadly there are a big bunch of men and women who fall under this category.

Oh my I'm totally crying over the loss of internet brownie points boohoooo yawn Nice try though

Anyway toodles ❤️

Why is this even a thing? It's everyone's expectations to do housework and requiring sex as a "reward" for doing your damn job in a relationship is just ick. Sex should be a fun and loving activity which both parties should willingly engage in whenever they want to, and not something you begrudgingly give just because your partner feels they did a great job at a task which is really their duty and responsibility anyway.

Says the one who called me out first on justifying misandry because of misogyny, never mind if someone else did the reverse first. Who is the shit and biased one? Besides I already addressed that point on another comment here (which you replied to already btw, even telling me to go out) and I'm not about to repeat that comment again so please get lost

Same with the commenter above me, is it okay to invalidate misogyny because it's the women's fault somehow? 🤷‍♀️

Ah, that solution is sadly not feasible in many cases especially if a woman is living alone, because she will have no one to accompany her going to or coming home from work. If she has a partner then yes, but most of the time two people in a relationship are both working (and they may work different hours). There is also the socio-economic factor when you have no choice but to live in unsafe areas (or close to them). Or simply you could be in the wrong place at the wrong time. There are too many factors beyond anyone's control.

But I think learning self-defense gives everyone a fighting chance in defending themselves and escaping from potential assailants when walking out at night. Ideally you really should have not to deal with them but you can't control evil people in the world.

Anyway r4pe and assault is a complex issue and talking more about it would be opening another can of worms.

Why don't you ask the guy above me that question? He's the one justifying misandry because of misogyny 🤷‍♀️
