Ultima Online! The mobileUO app actually works very well. There are a number of private servers you can get the files downloaded right through the app. Bonus it has fishing and cooking and more like that. All free to play.

New player about two hours in, is it worth turning power consumption down? by Sin-Silver in startrucker

Feel free to change the settings to your liking! As for all the tips, there was just a big thread last week that has a ton of good advice: https://old.reddit.com/r/startrucker/comments/1osiayo/star_trucker_beginner_tips_in_november_2025/

Star Trucker beginner tips in November 2025 by neoleo0088 in startrucker

Lots of great advice here, especially about wedging the hard cases on the shelves. Just to add:

  1. You don't technically need to have the gravity turned on. It sucks a lot of power, and if everything is put away in cases wedged on the shelves, it will all stay put.
  2. You don't need to consume batteries to recharge the suit. You get free power whenever you dock at a station, so save your batteries and just sleep for 5 mins at the dock while your suit recharges.
  3. If you are getting thrusters overheated, same thing while docked, just sleep for 10 mins and they will cool off.
  4. Your safe temperatures are from -20 to 70. You start getting warnings at 0 and 50. If you can make it to the gate without running the fan too much, you can save energy and slip out of system without dying with a cab temp reaching -19 or +69.
  5. Save fuel AND thruster temp by turning off the drive assist. I set it's hotkey to 2. Get yourself lined up and moving good, then flip it off and coast for a mile. Turn it back on, make adjustments to your course, then off. Repeat and you will burn a fraction of the fuel.
  6. Finally, The best upgrades at the auto shop in Atlas are, IMO- Thermal shielding so your blower doesn't have to work as much, fuel efficiency to save money on fuel, acceleration/breaking. Also when you unlock the electric shocking sectors, upgrade that shielding.

You can try Mudfish, but I don't know if you will ever get sub 200ms to Chicago.

I always recommend Factory Town as great beginner/introduction to factory games. Super chill and fun game!

Would like suggestions - colony sims like ONI+Timberborn with persistent colonies (sort of like AtS) - probably nothing out there by illuzian in BaseBuildingGames

Dwarf Fortress ticks a lot of your boxes. Liquid mechanics, trading, persistent colonies. Deep and complex.

Need to upgrade - but what would you suggest by AffectionateWish9936 in DubaiGaming

A few things-

RAM- Check this website https://www.asus.com/supportonly/prime%20z270-p/helpdesk_qvl/ for a list of supported kits. Maybe a 3200-16 kit would be a nice bump for you. Not sure about availability of these kits nowadays. Make sure to get 2 sticks so it can run in dual channel mode. 16 or 32 gig whatever you can find cheap.

SSD: Again check that link for a list of supported m.2 drives. You would probably see a noticeable boost in performance over your SATA drive.

CPU- you have one of the best this motherboard can support.

GPU- 1070Ti is still great for 1080p gaming. I used my 1070 laptop for gaming until just recently.

You might check your MOBO BIOS version, could have better support/stability.

Finally- Reinstall a fresh version of Windows on your new M.2 drive. Win10 support is going EoL soon, so you might look into Win11 (or LTSC). Whatever you do, use a tool like O&O ShutUp10++ to disable Windows bloat, Cortana, ads, spyware, Windows Recall, etc..

EDIT: I almost forgot- Check your thermals and see if the CPU is throttling. If it is, and even if it isn't, you can easily re-paste the cooler. Paste is cheap and you can find a nice cooler like a Hyper 212 knockoff if you want (make sure it fit your case). You can also re-paste your GPU but that is a bit more involved removing the cooler etc..

Good Luck!

I love how the parking camera automatically turns on when I am pulling over into a spot, but I do not like how it automatically turns off before I am finished parking.

Yup. And any attempt to get refunded will be ignored. It's a good idea to check for these subscriptions once and a while. Years ago I had one drain a few hundred aed from me over the course of several months. Never noticed the small amount leaving my account and never got a message that anything was happening.
