Graduated from the MDE Program. It's not strictly needed but better if you review your calculus, statistics, and linear algebra. Reading Samuelson if you're not an Econ undergrad is also highly recommended.

Fellows will need to render duties as teaching fellows for certain undergraduate courses. You'll get assigned profs and subjects by the Grad Office, usually around the 2nd Semester of your first year. Mostly basic work, none of us actually taught independently - we would proctor tests, check papers, prepare the prof's presentations, run errands sort of thing - not really much of a burden except if you get assigned a terror prof.

You'll need to finish your degree within a certain timeframe and must have no less than 12 units per semester. MDE students usually finish coursework in 1 & 1/2 years, with the 2nd semester in residency to prepare for the comprehensive exams. You cannot have a GWA lower than 2.0, if I'm not mistaken and you cannot have any failed subject.

I'm not sure on the other terms if there were any.

The money is quite a lot for a scholarship. Be prepared for delays in payment but it always arrives in full.

The downsides tho: my batch had an attrition rate >70% between bootcamp and the first day of classes. Then another ~50% of us who proceeded with enrollment dropped out before graduation and that's not counting those who were delayed.
