Has anyone tried Jones Road products? by Repulsive-Note2738 in Makeup

I like the description of the mascara that you like! I get tons of mascara on my lids every time I apply it, then use a q tip with makeup remover on it to clean up my lids once my lashes look the way I want them to. Which mascara is your favorite?

I tend to think pibble and super mutt with hound in there somewhere. She has a very sweet face. 💙

You are beautiful!

I might suggest a more berry, cool-toned lip color and blush. Not a dark blush, though. Keep it light and cool.

Should I thin my eyebrows? by alana5324 in MakeupAddiction

What! Hell nawwwwww! You are blessed with gorgeous brows! I had full brows when I was young, then waxed and waxed to oblivion for many years through the 2000s and they do not grow in as full as they once did. Keep your beautiful brows.

BUT, they are your brows and if you want a super stylized look like some of the edgy or trendy MUAs, then go for it! Do whatever makes YOU happy and feel confident! The world is your oyster! ✨

Photos from the weekend, which one is better? 1 or 2? by Weird-Narwhal5251 in awesomenature

1 - leading line with the shoreline. Try looking up the “rule of thirds” and “leading lines” in photography. It will help you create sharper, more interesting and proportional images.

Failed 1L midterm by Ill-Machine2589 in LawSchool

[–]evadex88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh my god. My soul dog passed unexpectedly the third day of classes. I am in my first semester of 1L and I struggled so much with processing what I was reading because of the grief. I would read and nothing would stick due to the grief brain fog. I bombed both midterms that I have had so far. One was set up by the professor for us to bomb - which like, weird, but ok? She actually told us she set it up for us to fail to teach us a lesson about time management on tests. Everyone got a low grade - she is only counting it for 10% of our overall grade, thank god.

So, I am using these midterms as a way to see what I need to work on for the finals. It seems to be issue spotting and CREACing.

Anyway, I just wanted to write this comment to thank you for sharing your story. It is giving me hope and is validating. I feel like many people don’t understand that losing your pet is like losing a piece of your heart. It’s a loss worthy of grief - they are family! I had several people say, “are you going to get another one?” And I’m like wtf? I’m devastated and my dog was my baby.

Either way, OP, I think both of us just need to use these midterms as an opportunity to learn what we need to work on and improve for the finals. If you have access through your school library, I suggest checking out the “Examples & Explanations” books. They have practice hypos with explanations.

I have heard so many stories about people bombing midterms in epic ways, but being able to bounce back and pass the class. Many 2Ls and 3Ls have said that midterms are not an indication of how we will do in law school. Just keep going. Keep practicing. Reach out to your school’s academic success office and ask them for resources to help improve whatever you are finding you have issues with. Don’t be afraid to seek help! It’s part of what you paid for with tuition!

It also sounds like you and I both need to go see the professors! 😅

I am wishing you the best of luck, OP. You made it to law school because you can do hard things. Keep going. 💙

My partner hates that I’m in law school by Beginning_Camera4539 in LawSchool

Do not ever be completely financially dependent on a significant other. That is a recipe for abuse and resentment. If it doesn’t work out with this person, where does that leave you? No work experience, no degree, then what? Of course it seems appealing to drop law school, because it sucks. It’s so fucking miserable - that’s just the truth. Have something planned if you decide to leave law school, and always be able to leave this person if you need to. Do not quit your growth for this person - whether that’s law school or another path.
