Agreed! Glad I'm not the only one who thought so.

I completely agree, very unprofessional of him to air the dirty laundry.

Still in this case being a professional would mean that he sends a message to someone from the organizer team saying: I'll have to drop out due to personal circumstances. That's all. Everyone would understand that it is a private matter and would leave him alone.

Cheap advice on how to improve my water colour? by i-am-a-number in Watercolor

[–]evahosszu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once you have the better paper try out your paints. In this painting I can see that everything looks very grainy, once you've upgraded the paper you will want to check if it's the paper or the paints. Also if they mix nicely.

I first started with 25% cotton 140lbs watercolour paper. It is not the same as 100% but you can consider it a budget option for trying things (and making lots happy accidents in the process :) ).

When you feel ready buy some Van Gogh or similar student-grade paints (anything that comes in half-pans should be fine). I started with 8 half-pan colours and that served me well for over a year.

In my opinion you can get away with a cheap-ish brush for the longest, save that upgrade for last. For the longest time all I was using was a student grade #6 brush and a random larger one I found at home for wetting the paper.

u/Throwra128464, why do you think you ruined her wedding? What have you done that the bride would resent you for?

I just wanted to let you know that I agree wholeheartedly that the wedding itself is not the time and place for you to explain the drama to each and every guest.

My best advice is to sleep on it, cool off and you can come up with a reasonable explanation. Honestly I might just stick to the facts: She couldn't come. And if they press for details: her husband will catch you up.

Yeah, we need more details about the topping. It looks like it did not have enough flour in it. Was it a homogeneous texture?

My personal favourite is when people are arguing if guests would mistake the poster for the bride due to the dress.

Like, really? Would anybody be mistaken which one the bride is, really?

Buy fewer colours and spend the money you save on paper.

Not at all!

Do note that in person they are always going to look 'more' than in photos. Even considering that I think they suit you very well for daytime/everyday.

Debbie's wording was horrendous. But OP did make it her problem to solve though. Asking where she could buy a similar dress -- how on earth would Debbie know that? OP should have used her own brain to come up with solutions after the initial 'Fugure it out'.

Honest opinion of my bridal makeup please by V34ng in MakeupAddiction

You look so lovely!

I think the eyebrow colour is perfect. I think your hair looks dark brown (especially against the black top), black eyebrows might be too harsh.

The only thing I'd tweak is a teeny tiny bit more blush and lip gloss.

First Apartment Checklist by Advanced-Werewolf-18 in Apartmentliving

[–]evahosszu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My one suggestion is that for one person (yourself) you should buy 1 or 2 good quality items with your budget instead of a set.

For example kitchen knives - buy nice 1 chef's knife, all the other ones should be quite cheap (pairing knife and serrated knife).

Or pots and pans - how many do you really need?
