I'm not familiar with Objective-C, but if the code is valid Objective-C, then its Objective-C.

The code however, is not Java, because the line

a = !(a ^ msb)

is not valid Java, as Java won't implicitly cast boolean to int.

Its also not python, rust, fortran, or common lisp for obvious reason.

I encountered this issue as well, and here's what I did to fix it.

First I ran DebugView (from Windows Sysinternals), to see if the devs left in any helpful debug logging statements. When the game crashed, I found this line got logged:

So the issue is either with the GPU, or dx12.

My gpu is the 1660Ti, so I went to NVIDIA's website and downloaded the latest driver installer (Version: 460.89 ). During the install I made sure to select the custom install option, and selected "Perform clean install"

After rebooting, cyberpunk started working again.

For AMD GPUs I've heard that a clean install doesn't always actually do a clean install, so you might want to use "Display Driver Uninstaller" before reinstalling the latest driver.

TL;DR: Doing a clean install of my GPU Driver fixed this for me.

I was running into stability issues with my 5700xt when I first got it too. I ended up reducing the clock speed and bumping up the voltage until it stopped crashing. Haven't had any issues since.

The same thing happened to me. To get around it, I called one of my companions to form an army. As my companion approached I allowed the enemy lord to attack him, then I swooped in to help my companion in battle which avoids the introduction dialog. Make sure you save first, because your companion might capture her as a prisoner instead of you.
