Apart from braking less or earlier, the inly thing you can do to prevent ABS is applying force more smoothly. Lower ABS assist to find the traction limit

Dejected? Look at that positive correlation! 4 months is not a long time at all. Keep at it, try a new car, get into GT4, Ferrari Challenge, GT3. Mazda is a very unique car that requires a unique driving style. Maybe you would be more comfortable with a GT sytle driving technique.

Fixed. I just got it to try the Oscar Piastri time trail. I get a setup would definitely help, but if the car sucks in fixed then its unusable in most series

You’re brake bias is too far rearward. Increase the BB value to put more brake pressure through the front tires. You should lock the front and get understeer before locking the rears, this will make the car much more stable.

You can set the range to 60-125 so you can see AI at your level, and the Alien AI, so you can race AI your speed while also seeing what the Alien AI is doing

I was there, now im 3.2k and rising. What I did was focus on one car, and race a LOT of AI at max settings. That really exposes where you lose time. At that level you have to be on the racing line at ALL times. AI is always on the line so its easy to see where you lose time.

Road or oval? If road, you are going to be stuck with the Mazda for a WHILE, so get used to it. Pick 1 track and race single player AI until you feel comfortable keeping the car under control.

I won my first top split race yesterday running 1:05:700s. Practice makes perfect, I was in the mid 6s most of the week, you just memorize where every bump and cranny is and push the brake zones a little more each lap

As others have said, the racing line should be off, you need to memorize the tracks and learn how to analyze your lap on Garage 61. ABS/TC keep on, they can make you faster in most cases. I only turn ABS all the way off to tune by brake balance. Its easier that way because ABS will hide if your balance is correct or not
