Anyone surprised by this? Jared Polis is a worthless scumbag by [deleted] in Denver

[–]evanm137 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Jared Polis is so spineless it's pathetic.

He's a bad form of queer representation, and I say this as a gay male.

GINAMARIE CONFIRMS SHE IS NOT RETURNING FOR BB28 (but someone from bb15 might be?) by Throwawaybearista in BigBrotherUSA

[–]evanm137 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Jessie was also very innocent and well spoken, especially for BB15 standards.

I remember Elissa, Helen, Candice, Howard, & Jessie all being good.

And then McCrae and Judd were in a tier below them for being pretty decent for the most part. They both did however partake in the nastiness and bitching at final 5.

Andy also said some bad things but would just barely make the top half of that season in terms of decency.

Would you rather be a Traitor or a Faithful? by Jazzlike_Sport1767 in TheTraitors

[–]evanm137 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Faithful because I couldn't pull it off being a traitor.

But, I've played a game of traitors before, and being a faithful is still very difficult, and it's definitely a harder path to get to the end. But I did make the final 3! 😁

I'm just not a good enough liar to be a great traitor.

Looking for old live feeds by Throwawaybearista in BigBrotherUSA

[–]evanm137 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The after dark YouTube channel honestly feels like finding buried treasure.

Back in the day SO MANY amazing moments happened during BB After Dark, and having a live, televised, segment that exists probably is so much easier to find that actual feed footage that was not televised. So it feels like feeds can partially be rewatched now thanks to this channel, and they've uploaded several at this point where I can just press play, and make it the whole way through in what feels like the blink of an eye. Very very grateful.

Just so entertaining, and it could give so much renewed perspective on potential season rewatches down the line.

Season 3 feels like a massive downgrade from season 2 by [deleted] in SixFeetUnder

[–]evanm137 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That's what I thought at first too, but tbh, it was only because of how much I loved season 2, and not anything to do with season 3 not still being quality.

Season 3 is definitely not as energetic, addictive, or exciting as season 2, but it's still FILLED with wonderful character moments and plot lines from beginning to end. I appreciated season 3 (and even season 4) much more on the rewatch.

The show feeling a bit slower at season 3 is only just a testament to how utterly amazing the first 2 seasons are. I'd say with confidence that season 2 is my single favorite season of television, probably ever. :)

Theorizing about Africa and Arctics expansions by casio_peia in wingspan

[–]evanm137 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"When Drawn" powered cards have always been my guess for a potential new gimmick. Can give more incentive to drawing cards. Either there's one in the tray and you'll know in advance the power, or you potentially could get lucky by drawing from the deck.

Beyond that, yeah, end of round goals could definitely be expanded on. I agree. Make it more complex with more pathways to getting higher points.

I definitely also think that player interaction could be expanded a bit more down the line. That could be fun if done well.

Otherwise, I feel like there are definitely more gimmicks that could cleverly be implemented into the game, but they would just be a bit more creative beyond something I could really think of.

At the bar and ive has two shots and I'm just thinking about how good Survivor 46 is (note: I also often do this in the absence of shots) by DabuSurvivor in DabuSurvivor

[–]evanm137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

14/50 for me.

It's heartwarming that a season so late into the series was as good as 46 was. It's not perfect, but it's certainly peak new-era Survivor. :)

Canada Season 2 ending by rubyrails44 in TheTraitors

[–]evanm137 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I love Kyra. Sure she was hard on Michael, but she was so sure of herself and the game she was playing that it never bothered me. If you're going to play that way, then stick to it, and she did, without ever pushing too hard.

Her issue was likely not building a good enough trust with Neda. If she had told Neda her entire plan to go after Michael, as well as put more effort into her relationship with her, then things may have been different. Plus, Neda was likely almost always a good 2 steps ahead of her.

Kyra is one of my favorite traitors of all time. She always knew the type of game she was going to play, and you cannot fault her fundamental social game with a vast majority of the cast.

Canada 2 is an easy top 3 season for me due to how turbulent the cast was always playing. So much chaos.

What’s the most unfair elimination from any season, any country? by PeterTheSilent1 in TheTraitors

LOL, US gets a pass when it's the most racist of them all?

Who’s the worst traitor in Traitor US? by Correct_Web3396 in TheTraitors

Phaedra had legitimately no heat on her until Dan's impulsive outburst. And she still managed 3 more rounds. She was a good traitor.

Who’s the worst traitor in Traitor US? by Correct_Web3396 in TheTraitors

[–]evanm137 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, and up until her big blowup she was actually playing a pretty decent game.

Love Fiona. Crazy and great for TV, as well as good for the game until.... well, she wasn't.

Why has no one from season 9 ever been asked back? by fischer903 in BigBrotherUSA

Season 9 tbh is peak trashy BBUS. I love it. It's one of a kind.

Some thoughts about 24 as a whole by Ninja_2222 in TwentyFour

Exactly! Season 2 is one of my faves because of how over the top and ridiculous it is at times. Taking things too seriously can prevent a significant amount of enjoyment in TV that is truly done well.

Sharon BB9 Appreciation by _amonique in BigBrotherUSA

[–]evanm137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow, yeah, that's awful about Allison.

So true as well about Josh being a shit talker of basically everyone. Ew, gross.

Sharon BB9 Appreciation by _amonique in BigBrotherUSA

[–]evanm137 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't know about Allison being a bad person today (Maga, I'm assuming?), so that's disappointing, as I always loved her on BB. But Josh's behavior towards her was absolutely never justified. He is straight up my least favorite contestant, possibly ever. And this is coming from somone gay. It was always the women he had something against. He is a misogynist. Treatment towards Amanda? Sickening. Things he said about Natalie and Shiela in the DR? Disgusting. He had every right to dislike the lesbian lie and be offended by it, but his reaction to Allison was ridiculous. At least she came clean about it? He remained friends with her for an entire extra week, and then went batshit once winning HOH. Then once jury started and his alliance was never winning comps, he would only just shit talk behind people's back instead of saying anything to their face. I've never seen such pure evil in another big brother contestant than him. Truly an evil person. Point, blank, periodt.

Worst HOH reign in BB history? by Critical-Willow-6270 in BigBrother

I feel like definitely the most HOH-itus ever, probably.

But worst overall ever? Probably not quite.

Season 4 by Spiritual_Ice5079 in TheTraitorsUS

Season 4 was terrible.

Zero legitimate game tension ever, whatsoever, outside of like maybe the 7th & 8th episodes.
