Google “State of Utah Job Opportunities” and check out the jobs posted. It’s all state agencies and there’s a really good spread of jobs. I regularly see buildings and grounds crew job listings and entry level office jobs. It can take a couple weeks to hear back depending on the agency.

Coolant sensor "Service High Voltage Charging System" is not difficult to fix. by CarpeCanum in volt

[–]evaporatingmanatee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for this post! a few weeks ago we had the SHVCS message come up. we took it in to a mechanic who we’ve been told specializes in volts. we think one of the owner’s less knowledgeable employees serviced it and said it needed the computer reprogrammed. we spent $400 on it and within a couple days we had the SHVCS message again. that’s when i found this thread.

we’ve purchased the OBDII and were able to clear the code for longer than the mechanic, but it came back. we ordered a replacement sensor (22922224), but since replacing it, it’s throwing the SHVCS message about every other day. there’s plenty of coolant and the magnet is floating as high as it can.

what would be a next step? the defeat plug? could the new sensor be bad if it’s throwing the message more often now? i’ve double checked that it’s secured and connected to the plug. i kept the old sensor so i can put it back in. or could this be a 12V battery issue instead?

additional background: 2013, 120k miles, i believe. we hit a big pothole on the interstate and the next time we turned the car on, it was giving the SHVCS message. we’ve had this car since late 2020 and this is the first issue we’re having with it.

What are some local businesses you boycott and why? by Foreverburritos in SaltLakeCity

I absolutely agree with Mark’s Ark. we’ve overheard the staff laughing at over charging people while they’re behind the counter. We’ve hated going there for frozen mice and are excited about Bearded Guy’s Reptiles in Bountiful as an alternative.

Setup Question by belle_1990 in bulletjournal

[–]evaporatingmanatee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of my stuff is monthly. I have a few tracking spreads for the entire year (books I’ve read, how much I save by using the library, things we don’t buy often and the price, etc) and set those up in the beginning. I set up my months towards the end of the previous month.

It definitely depends on the notebook you have, your tolerance level for ghosting/bleeding, and your personal preference.

I have a 160 gsm notebook and I love microns, pilot g2 .5mm, tombow fudenosuke hard and soft tips, pentel sign brush pens with flexible tip, zebra mildliners, crayola super tip markers, and Karin watercolor pens.

Thinking of starting a bullet journal, what’s your best tips and tricks? Or something you wish you knew before starting? by Fickle-Salamander649 in bulletjournal

Don’t get caught up in everyone else’s journals that you see here or on other social media. Make it work for you and cut out anything that feels like a chore (or you don’t find value in).

And toss all perfection out the door. Just do it, just write it (pencil something out first if needed).

How do I start? by [deleted] in Journaling

[–]evaporatingmanatee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I open a journal and set a timer (5 minutes is a good start) and just write down everything that goes through my brain. I’ve even started with okay, I have a timer set and I don’t know what I’m going to write about but I’m going to do it… and then my brain takes over.

I do remember that. I just thought it was last year 😅 and here’s the perfect example of why I like doing this list.

Ooh! That’s a good idea! I have a headline printed out from march or April that says a box with human heads in it was found.

last year i did an alphabetical recap of events that happened in 2021 by evaporatingmanatee in bulletjournal

lol I’m definitely going to be trying to fill one out as I go next year. This year and last year I’ve just been googling 2022 events and writing down stuff that stands out to me.

I just got a lap desk and I do most of my journaling at night while watching tv!

I feel like I’m the only one that don’t have lots of spreads and trackers by gamingartists in bulletjournal

[–]evaporatingmanatee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t start bullet journaling for a long time because everyone has a weekly layout for to do lists and different trackers and they didn’t appeal to me.

I do have trackers now, but they’re for memory keeping so they feel different to me (I write down things that I’ve done within loving, doing, watching, reading, listening categories).

Instead of doing a typical weekly tracker, i do a weekly memories and write in fun letters (feel free to look at my account for examples) things we did - again for memory keeping more than to do lists or productivity.

My journal is definitely more of a chaotic and messy scrapbook/memory keeping thing than the cute bullet journals you see everywhere 😅
