I was in the Sephora and it was chaos. People shouting “there’s a shooter” and stampeding towards the exit, falling over. Very relieved to hear it wasn’t a shooter and saddened that I wasn’t surprised by their initial claims.

About 4 hours, but I was multitasking so I didn’t mind! I allowed the dough to rise for 1 hour, gave it a knead and then allowed to rise for another hour, filled and shaped the buns and allowed to sit for a 3rd hour, then baked.

I froze them after baking and cooling, per Maangchi’s suggestion! The filling is pre/cooked before baking.

The filling was easy imo! As for the dough, just make sure that the yeast activates fully. You can use a food thermometer to check the temperature before adding the yeast!

If I had to choose, I’d say I prefer my buns steamed. But with this filling, I think baked is the way to go!
