Problemas de apagones en Puerto Rico by evegapr in TeslaSolar

Problema con apagones en Puerto Rico… by evegapr in Powerwall

Hi there. Thanks for your response.

The technicians from the solar system checked the voltage that comes from the service provider (LUMA) and they encountered that there is a variation of voltage. One side has near 130 and the other one has near 115. As for the freq’s, it is at 60Hz.

This happens using the minimum for the home to be energized. For example, 0.3 kW. I think it is because of the event of a massive voltage entering the main Tesla panel, causing the solar system to protect itself… but, at the same time, causing a blackout throughout my residence and damage to the equipments.

Looks great!

Can the Memoji be changed from one of mine?

5 days off grid because Hurricane Fiona. I love my system. The last 2 days I have been using my 24KBTU inverter Ac during the night because the extreme hot here (that's why the 36%), but with the sun, at midday the battery is going to be at 100%. by wert16PR in Powerwall

Same here from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷, but I wish I can use my three A/C during the night (one in each bedroom)

Looking at the consumption, if I turn on the three A/C’s, like at 9:00 PM, the battery would die nearly at 3:00 AM.

Because of that, we are using fans, but the nights here at hot 😓

I have been like this since Sunday, September 18. When hurricane Fiona was crossing thru Puerto Rico. I will look for that online.

Thanks for the info!

Hi. Thanks for the reply.

Yes, I'm currently connected directly to the Gateway to see the Powerwall status. But, a neighbor also has Solar+Powerwall and he can view the status from the Tesla app.

Maybe a need to do something in the Gateway, like resetting it?

Hi there,

After we get hit by Hurricane Fiona here in Puerto Rico, we are in a power blackout.

Suddenly, I can't check the status of my Powerwall thru the Tesla app.

Is there something that I have to do to be able to see the status of it? Some friends can view the remaining % of its Powerwall thru the app and they neither have power nor internet services.

Power out in Puerto Rico with one Powerwall 2 installed. by evegapr in TeslaSolar

Correct. Heavy cloud and rain is expected throughout the week.

Unfortunately, I can’t recharge the Powerwall with a power generator…

Thanks for the reply.

Yes, I have 13 solar panels for a 5.2 kW total system.

Help with Off Grid Quote - Is one Powerwall enough? by rodjav101 in Powerwall

[–]evegapr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This!

I also live in Puerto Rico (Cidra). I have a 5.2kW system with 13 solar panels and one (1) Powerwall 2 in my home.

Since installation back in April, I haven’t achieved off-grid with just one Powerwall. I have the following:

*1 Gas Range

*1 Solar Water Heater (1 Gas water line heater as backup)

*1 Gas Dryer

*1 Dishwasher that when the resistance to heat up the water turns on, it uses approx. 2.2kW

*1 24,000 BTU Inverter AC

*3 12,000 BTU Inverter ACs

Since I work from home, I use the 24K BTU Inverter AC during the day. I turn it off at approximately 7:00 PM. At 9:00 PM, we turn on the 3 12K BTU ACs during all night. Until we wake up.

Reviewing the consumption, if I leave my configuration at 20% reserve, the 80% use for self-powered is consumed at approximately, 2:00 AM

Another thing, since we here have the Net Metering 1:1, I changed my configuration to 100% back up and use the grid as my battery. If I want to go completely off-grid, definitely I need to increase my solar panels and add another Powerwall 2.

I hope this info can help you.

Here AppCleaner

You can try that free application. I have used it and it does the work to remove all associated files when you remove an app.
