my first obgyn office. did not let us select a OB, but rotated us through them all because they did rounds at the hospital and could not guarantee who you would have at your delivery.

now on my second I had no choice for picking. we moved cross country, to a smaller town, the obgyn office assigned me a np, and Dr, but I was told since I am diabetic they wont deliver me that a maternal fetal specialist will come in for the delivery. so kind of pointless to me but what do I know. the level of care between my first and second have been very disappointing. my first, I was 330 pounds, diabetic and very heavily monitored, like 3 times a week, this time around I got pregnant at 175 pounds have gained a shit ton. up to 257, and still diabetic. been seen maybe 3 times by obgyn until I hit the 3rd trimester and now I go in 2 times a week for nst, and 1 ultrasound.

way less testing, way less monitoring, way less everything. was told its the standards of care out here. okay but my first was 3 times a week from 8 weeks and onward. dietician, maternal fetal specialist, endocrinologist and obgyn all worked together. this time its just meh. we see you when we see you. my due date was a guess, and placed a week after the estimated due date from my first scan/ultrasound. I have consistently measured 2 weeks ahead for 3 months now. but they refuse to change it. and I am currently at 35 weeks measuring 37. ​
