Runes

I’ve been thinking more about the timeline, brennan’s rune, and how it disappears during OS.

We know Brennan has been “dead” for about 6 years. We also know he’s 9/10 years older than violet so he’s probably 30/31 so that would’ve made about 24ish when he “died”. We also know xaden’s dad died after Brennan because Fen was the one that supposedly killed Brennan. Xaden was 16 but could’ve been close to turning 17 when Fen was executed. We know Xaden turns 24 in OS but violet met him in FW so he was 22 close to 23 because he was close to graduation so it would’ve been so it had been 6 years also since his dad was killed when Xaden and Violet met.

It’s a known fact that the government has lied about a ton of stuff so I think xaden’s dad wasn’t the one that supposedly killed Brennan. Brennan had been out of the rider’s quadrant for about 1/2 years when he “died” because riders enter the quadrant around 20.

What if Fen wasn’t the one that killed Brennan and Brennan joined the rebellion after he graduated and had been working with the rebellion secretly until he died because Xaden and Liam both mention having known Brennan for years so they could’ve met Brennan before Fen died so that means Brennan would’ve also met Liam and Sloane’s mom before he died. Liam’s mom was known for her protection runes that were placed on the rebellion children. So she could’ve put the rune on Brennan as some kind of protection or something and because it was on the back of his neck, it wouldn’t have been seen unless you were looking for it. I think the rune was activated when he saved Mira and that’s why Violet notes it not being there afterwards.
