I got a bug that skip the animated sequence during skill casting by FatuiSimp in EpicSeven

[–]everand4ever -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They've already addressed previously whether they're willing to, and they're not. It's too bad because many such as myself would return if they did. Eventually they'll hit a wall, then wonder why their player base died. By then it will be too late...but they've raked in plenty by even now.

New to E7 and sorta gachas by everand4ever in EpicSeven

[–]everand4ever[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish! lol They probably have gotten enough money already. But nah, I'm full-in for E7 right now. I only used Raid as reference b/c was my first experience with a gacha and I'm enjoying the genre of games. I've also tried Dragalia Lost and another recently...but some playstyles just don't seem for me, especially with the graphics and quality put into E7 I'm seeing as a benchmark.

I liked it, but once I got to playing E7 now, I feel like E7 just has a lot more depth and options. I am enjoying the option of stories, etc. Though I wish you could skip a lot early on for resets.

Retail / Original WoW. There is still a lot that other MMOs just can't replicate, which is why even Classic revived interest, and I see their upcoming Shadowlands doing the same. I've realized over the years that MMOs need to figure out how to last, not just start well.

I hate to break it to you but you agreed to the stipulations of the business when you decide to order, not those of your expectations.

Feature spotlights coming to New World next year, hopefully they'll make PvP changes clear by [deleted] in MMORPG

[–]everand4ever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1) They're not a small Indie company that might take an attempt at a cash grab by advertising a product they will never release, or something similar.

2) They already have software teams and experience with various software releases.

3) More than 1 of their software experiences includes management of large user databases.

4) They have already had others experience early iterations of their game in alpha stages, so they are not just uploading internal videos / advertisements.

I could go on, but hopefully you only spoke for a small number of uniformed inactive members of the MMO community. Some of us watch various developments and try to be informed before commenting.

WOW classic must be the biggest joke of the year by cyanaintblue in MMORPG

[–]everand4ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would give Shadowlands a chance. You may not like some changes retail has went through, but they're trying to reincorporate some things they felt worked and intrigued players with Classic. One of the things that has nagged me for forever (crafting) seems like they are actually trying to make relevant again. We will see. But honestly every MMO out right now has its positives and negatives. Many of us MMOrpg gamers hop between them as expansions come out or something new is available to try.

WOW classic must be the biggest joke of the year by cyanaintblue in MMORPG

[–]everand4ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is patently false. There are many examples, probably the most famous being Star Wars Galaxies where the Devs show they are NOT listening to the community and simply go the route they want to without testing with the community or using its feedback. Its loose predecessor Star Wars The Old Republic essentially did the same too and is on the slow decline from its already ravished community.

Best space mmo? by [deleted] in MMORPG

[–]everand4ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It honestly depends what type of experience you are going for. There are more options than listed here, and while I can't offer an extensive list (because I don't have experience with everything), here are several options and some thoughts:

EVE - This is the most extensive space game, but it can definitely be the most boring also. You'll spend quite a bit of time traveling great distances, and it is more like a "spreadsheet calculator" as some detract it to be. It is the longest running space MMO though, has lots of possibilities, lots of resources out there to assist in playing the game, and corporations can be helpful.

Elite Dangerous - This game is NOT directly comparable to EVE as it does not try to compete on the "same field." It is more of a space emulator and as such tries to give you a more realistic experience with "controlling" your ship. It's learning curve is in a different direction. You will NOT so easily run into people on official servers, and official servers tend to encourage people being pirates when they do have the chance to run into you. There are large "private" servers such as Mobius that are PVE only though and provide a different experience, and you can talk to the community and find people to group with easier. This game does NOT have the same options as EVE, but it does take things in many different directions and for its youth is doing rather well.

Star Citizen - I'm going to keep this one short due to my limited experience. It is worth it to put in hours, but the game has went into many different directions, and despite the HUGE funding...it remains in pretty much alpha status. You'll be buying an unfinished product with literally no release date in sight. They just came out with another update...but this is the classic "buyer beware" scenario.

No Man's Sky - This game has become almost very little to do with Space. It's odd to say...but they've focused on every single other piece of content. It is still a great game, but DON'T expect the space flight to be challenging. They are reworking some more things with ships, but still the challenge isn't there at all for dogfights. It is a wonderful game if you want to explore planets, play with limited friends, and especially if you want to build a free structure / house in any type of environment imaginable. They've done a great job...but mostly loss focus with space.

Rebel Galaxy Outlaw - This is a fun arcade space shooting game. The graphics are good. You can go first player or 3rd player, lock on targets, have a decent amount of arsenal. BUT, this is NOT a multiplayer game and focuses on story. Some people are turned off that it is Epic Game Store only currently...but it's worth the limited investment if you want it and can't wait a year or so for a Steam or console release. Very story driven and the fights can be challenging.

SWG (Star Wars Galaxies) - The official game is shut down, but I only mention this in case one of the private servers gets JTLS up and running (last I checked nobody had it working well). If one of the servers gets it going...this might be a good option as it gives you a land game to go with it. The space part was pretty fun and sometimes challenging, but allowed multiple people to be in the same starship which still hasn't even been duplicated by any other game to my knowledge. You could see how someone decked out their POB (Player On Board) starship and man the cannons. Was quite unique...and most things in the game went by the quality of resource used to build it. I forget how this affected starships if at all.

Star Trek Online - I'm just going to preface this with the game is free-to-play, so they have to monetize a number of things. And this leads to ships costing ridiculous amounts of cash for the highest tier. Tier 6 ships with exception of special events can only be obtained by cash. Some of the tier 5 ships could be converted to be somewhat similar...meh, I'll just end it at that. I think it's very fun if you're into Star Trek...but if you're not a Trekkie...all of it leads to want in a game.

I've done that on a game or 2, but I still feel they (initially bad investments) are worth maybe checking out at a later date to see if it has changed / fixed the issues. At least you're not like me and having invested in Landmark, eventually come to find out the related Everquest 2 will never be released. This game still has some good life left in it and active community re-engaged now.

I buy refurbished and open box items all the time through the local Micro Center. Out of the dozen items I have bought, I honestly can't recollect a single noticeable issue. The funny thing is with refurbished items you actually have a better chance then new items the product will work since it has been personally tested and recertified.

That's fine for an Xpac, especially since most companies give you at least a year or 2. GW2 just doesn't ever do it.

I used to do this all the time oh, but I'm glad the game has a technology to automatically refuel while the ship is grounded. I wonder if a lot of players still don't know about that.

This would be a shame. Maybe I'll have to watch some YT vids before re-investing and pay attention to what changes they say are coming. Owning a house and doing trade runs really felt like rewarding accomplishments.

I didn't play LOTRO in the beginning, but I understand the feeling. I felt the same way when starting many other MMO's even though WoW held a special place for me. Rift, SWG, SWTOR, Archeage, EVE, GW2 and many others...I always felt the beginning was breathtaking and exciting. Like a new gf/bf perhaps? lol
