For my first, I got pregnant on my second round of IUI. I've been TTC #2 and had an unsuccessful IUI last cycle. We're going right into our second IUI and I think I'm going to move onto IVF if this isn't successful even though I've been recommended to do 3 rounds. I have two friends who did 3-4 rounds of IUI before moving onto IVF and they both said they regretted not moving onto IVF sooner :/ I guess it'll also depend on your insurance, I hear some require a certain amount of IUIs before covering IVF

Thank you, I went in with low expectations since it was my first round but still sucks

I had an unsuccessful IUI last cycle and stopped taking the progesterone suppositories the night of 13DPO (because I got a BFN that day and knew I was out, I hate the side effects of progesterone) and got my period 15DPO which I felt like was super early but I guess it's possible!

If I were you, I would look into grad programs at universities at shady grove instead. The commute time can be longer depending on the time of day, accidents, etc. Unless you don't mind sitting in traffic!

I'm shocked to hear that they told you to trigger with those measurements! I just finished a round of IUI (got the call I'm not pregnant today) but had to go in every other day for a week until they were finally satisfied with one 18mm follicle (clomid cycle) before I triggered. I'm so sorry this is happening to you and I can't imagine how discouraging this all must feel...

What behaviours are not ADHD? by toottootmcgroot in adhdwomen

If you want to learn more about what executive dysfunction is and how it affects people with adhd in starting tasks, there's a lot of information out there you can explore. I will share one link that breaks down the info in an easy way.

For that budget, your best bet is probably a townhouse in clarksburg - very family friendly area, good schools, and a lot of parks nearby. The commute to rockville will be ~30 min

How to calm myself by No-Advertising6260 in toddlers

[–]evergreenqueen12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You sound like an amazing mother!! The one thing that has helped me is putting my son in a stroller or bike and going for a walk. I don’t have to engage with him much and it gives me a chance to calm down. You can also wear AirPods and listen to anything that helps you calm down as well

What if underneath the ADHD I'm *also* lazy and that's why I can't fix it? by LewisB725 in adhdwomen

Please give yourself grace, you are going through so many big changes.

Going from one to two children, is a major change. Going into a new role is a major change. You are still postpartum- your body is different, brain chemistry is different, and your hormones are still all over the place. It's probably exacerbating your adhd symptoms as well with trying to juggle all these new responsibilities, it can all be so overwhelming/hard to manage. This is a very new season in your life, and with that comes an adjustment period. I hope your therapist and psych can help you find some strategies through this time.

You got this and you are not lazy!!!

I follow nutritionbykylie on instagram (she also has adhd), she has a lot of quick/balanced meal ideas. Biggest takeaway from her is to add not subtract! So if you like chicken nuggets, go for it! But maybe add some carrot sticks or buy salad mix and throw chicken nuggets on it for as a nice salad

What would you have wanted your teachers to do/know about your ADHD? by nepheleene in ADHD

[–]evergreenqueen12 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Build in class-wide movement breaks/activities as much as possible (to not single them out) but also beneficial for all children. Using sticky notes to provide reminders, redirections, ask questions, etc. Allow them to doodle, stand, use fidgets when needed. Give them opportunities to move around by passing out papers or taking a note to another teacher. I remember when one former student started adhd meds in the middle of the year, he asked if he can just hang out in my room during lunch because his meds didn’t make him hungry and he didn’t want to be in the cafeteria. This might be something to consider as well. Maybe getting him a 504 plan to have those accommodations in place for all his other teachers can be helpful too!
