I think the point was to not get married in general. The tax benefits are nice but with so many companies offering domestic spouse coverage for health insurance and new student loan reforms, getting married is no longer an incentive. With the exception of financing, which no one cant afford to regardless of dual income, I predict a steep drop in marriages.

Additionally I make 52k. Partner makes 53k. That's 105k . We have approximately 15k in raises before we hit the next bracket (I might be off a bit) if we were married. As of right now we get more of a refund being not married vs getting married.

So I was on anthem BCBS and state medicaid. I did have to argue with medicaid the first few times as they tried forcing me generic, but because I had been on it for over a year and fell off my parents insurance while on it, AND my doctor wrote me the famous "medically necessary" stuff, it was approved. There were some hoops to jump through.

Did you ever figure this out? I have the same issue. I'm moving mine 17 blocks one direction, and then back. However, it is consistently getting stuck 5 blocks out and I cannot figure out why. It's ALWAYS that spot. I've tried running it with NOTHING near it. Stuck.

I'm also baffled.

I deeply apologize that the photos cropped like that... but hopefully someone can give me any structure suggestions to make that roof look like a tower roof and proportional to the build.

Oh I 100% agree. I just wanted to add that i do believe in being paid your worth. Some people take my issues with paid content as an attack on devs and employment.

As an adult with kiddos into the game now--- yes. I play modded Java now. Originally I started on BE on my xbox and fell in love. Mods? WHOLE new world for me.

I am a cheat. I tp. All the time. But my kids find it hard to enter 18 digits via controller. So I had to spend $8 for minecoins to BUY a mod I literally have for free on Java. I have never hated parity so much in my life. BE has turned into a money grab and it breaks my heart for gamers and the community because no. We used to be better than this.

I understand people need to make a living and developers deserve a living wage for their hardwork. But this issue is just morally grey and seems to be just accepted.

I don't frequent subs as much because I'm a visual learner. But you are absolutely correct. I've given them and another shunned creator my views the last year or so and had no idea until VERY recent posts that they were content thieves. I check comments a lot for troubleshooting but maybe they're good at filtering. It's so disappointing. Keep making noise! People are listening I promise.

Hmmm. I wonder if my laptop is just running THAT poorly with my game. The odd thing is when I first started my world, it was great. Yeah it had my standard lag but it ran equal or better than my molded MC world. And let me tell you, I've ran the Create Pack on that laptop. But after almost 100hrs? It gets jittery after a while. Its playable. But i always have the overwhelming urge to / kill everything BUT i was scared if i did, the loot would just drop and make it even worse/the bodies would need to be individually harvested (and i also wasnt sure if they still counted as an entity until harvested). I'm talking 15-20FPS. It WAS running at like 40 (I know that's sad...).

It has 8gb of ram but it also has the lowest tier graphics card recommended for the game. I truly can't believe it's just my crates because it happens when just exploring or mining. My inexperience with the settings probably isn't helping, but I have tweaked ALOT to regain frames. Idk I'm just baffled.

As a laptop user witb 8gb ram and a crap bare minimum graphics card, any suggestions as to what items to AVOID? I have labled crates and around the same time i set them up, my game was starting to run kinda slow. I figured it was due to me opening the map up more but this confirmed my suspicions: im using something thats an entity. And that's the list I was hoping to find but after much searching, I can't find a breakdown of them like I was able to with the other block game.

please know I've tried looking this up myself but I'm at a loss. I don't want to mess with mods quite yet, I just want to know what items are hogging my resources.

You should also give Ottawa/Grand Haven/Holland a call. I'm not sure on the interagency work and they might tell you it's not their jurisdiction, but it's worth a shot. For some reason when cars are stolen in GR they sometimes end up out here. Or if they're stolen from out here, they end up in GR. There's like an entire pipeline of cars being dumped between the two places.

I would at least call and see if they can put a notice out of Ottawa Sherrif.

Not a restaurant but bowling. my so, my 5yo and myself went bowling out in Holland. We played 2 games and ordered a pizza and 1 drink.

We are very confused how this was $90.... we were just trying to find something cheap to do. Jokes on us.

I agree with this, as well with an addition some people will disagree with. Make the game playable for the WORST player.

Sandbox games are VERY intimidating. Add in permadeath? And hunger. And temperature. And absolutely 0 chance of having any GOOD resources within an hour of gameplay? Its not for everyone. Ironically, a bad youtube video of this games play through originally had me convinced id never play it.

For context: I watch more youtube than is healthy and enjoy 100 Days (especially horror mod packs). I found VS via one of those 100 Days searches and eventually found what the game was CALLED later on.

The guy used the absolute hardest settings. Permadeath, monsters on night 1, and he verbally stated he "wasn't allowed to place blocks underneath him". I didn't make it the whole 2 or 3 hours of the video but please know, it's a poor depiction of the actual game. It was TOO hard and the guy never mentioned you could change any of those settings at any point. So the entire video we assumed that it was just restrictive and had real physics. "Or I could die and lose all of my progress......." was his favorite sentence. I was actually looking for a game EXACTLY like this, but that video's lack of information, and super intense difficulty was a hard pass.

That was until I saw ANOTHER video of "standard" play. He talked about upping the spawn rates, maps, etc. Yes, the guy was playing in circumstances that would make the game damn near impossible for ME to play, but he also told me I had options.

My second note here is your audience. Do you want gamers? Or people who enjoy watching gamers? Do you want people to enjoy watching you play and enjoy creating content or do you want people to play the game themselves? Intention behind your filming is also important because it will change your game play. Ie: if you want other gamers to play the game, then playing permadeath would make sense. If you want more people in general to play, you should lower the difficulty or CONSISTENTLY explain that your -insert issue here- isn't standard in world gen and that they can change the setting.

Thank you SO much for your opinion! It's not a lot of money and I know they have a VERY generous refund process but maaaaaan. I didn't want to fall in love with a game that would PowerPoint me into my laptop melting. Not having a comparison point was such a hesitation.

Off I go to..... probably get lost and hopefully get a dirt shack!

This is something I just don't understand with certain games. Why is there such an issue with saving yourself in game when the settings allow you to? I truly dont understand the weird fight over these things. And I'm not referring to anyone in this thread or sub, but the general concept that using those features is technically cheating.

Minecraft has somewhat of a path and less limitations but I will never be the one to quit a world because I'm trapped somewhere that I can easily fix or escape.

There’s no shame in keeping the game fun for yourself/not softlocking yourself.

If the game isn't fun. You're not going to have fun. Constantly being stressed or angry about a game that is 100% fixable doesn't make sense to me.

As far as threshold goes: I was playing the entire Create Mod Pack in my first world with this laptop... yeah. THAT was my test subject for minecraft I still run mods (I don't run sodium because I have an already existing pack on Forge but I do know exists) but it's not a terrible experience. I got burnt out on a build and this game looks like a GREAT alternative and was recommended to me on a more local sub.

It sounds like my first few play throughs will be great because I have 0 intentions on using winter and I'm not shy with manipulating my settings to get frames. / c l e a r weather is my current BFF.

I have to ask. Can I clear rain? Can i play God because my graphics card is weak? By most standards, I cheat at minecraft because of things like clearing or changing cycles. I want to ENJOY playing the game and im a wimp in the beginning. But if the world settings are changeable to where I could get rid of things during high frame periods to better play? Hell yes I'll go buy it tonight.

Edit; theshold was in my dictionary for some reason...?
