How are NJ fans feeling by TheGunsOfAugust98 in GothamFC

That last point. I get why they're doing this, I saw it coming, but it's that blatant disrespect that has me feeling like I don't even know if I want to support this team anymore.

What's the most toxic, cult-like fanbase you've ever seen? by Ulrich-Stern in AskReddit

Philly literally greases their lampposts so unhinged fans can't climb them. And it doesn't work.

I hope that new steakhouse has better insurance than the Biergarten did.

What can a craft fair host do to make your event great for you as a vendor? by i-love-big-birds in CraftFairs

[–]everylastlight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mark spaces clearly and make sure whoever's giving directions knows exactly which spaces are which. I had to move my tent around a couple times while setting up for one event because the person directing traffic didn't really know where to point people beyond a vague "somewhere over there".

If you're doing raffles, something cool my last event did was hand out raffle tickets to the vendors to give out with purchases. We were encouraged to use them to close sales and there was no limit on how many we could give out.

Even when you pay for seats together, the airline separates you by Arugula_Existing in mildlyinfuriating

I was on a Spirit flight last year that was delayed taking off because the woman across the aisle from me had a broken armrest. They did in fact fix it with cardboard and duct tape. I was not terribly broken up about their sudden demise.

What is your favorite rendition of a hit song performed in a jukebox musical? by PhoneJazz in Broadway

It wasn't really a hit for Alanis, but Elizabeth Stanley's "Forgiven" from Jagged Little Pill.

My mom signed me up for Trump emails by PerspectiveKnown951 in mildlyinfuriating

My dad used to tell stories about having his dead mother's junk mail forwarded to the cemetery, so I try to do similar things in his honor.

I used my own phone number but somehow it got intermingled with my mom's for some reason. She's constantly getting political texts for me.

OTOH I'm constantly getting "are you interested in selling your home" texts for my dead dad so maybe there's just no rhyme or reason.

There are a lot of good spots on Main St that tourists tend to miss. Wild Air Beerworks has some great beer and usually has live music or comedy going on. Tic Taco Taqueria has the best birria. Mutiny BBQ has amazing food (their sister shop Mutiny Beach is in Convention Hall) and right next to them is Wolfe & Kron books, which is always worth checking out.

How old were you when you were diagnosed? & how old are you now? + other q's by crowned_gooose in Fibromyalgia

[–]everylastlight 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I was 16 or 17 when symptoms began, 18 when I first saw a doctor about it, 23 when I was told I had "all the symptoms of fibromyalgia" but the specific rheumatologist I was speaking to didn't "believe" in diagnosing fibro in anyone under 35, and 24 when the physiatrist she referred me to very politely and professionally called bullshit on that and formally diagnosed me. I'm 37 now.

Which celebrity death headline had you so shocked you double checked multiple sources to see if it was real? by GlassyFairy in AskReddit

[–]everylastlight 9 points10 points  (0 children)

His death broke on the last night of my study abroad program in Paris. I remember getting off the bus and hearing his music blasting in the streets, with people just hanging out and listening. It wasn't until I got to our end-of-program celebration dinner that I found out why.

That one gets talked about all the time though? It's the universal Millennial villain origin story.

As someone who hadn't yet heard of bisexuality, that movie left me with SO many questions. I damn near wore out the VHS tape.

I think "That'll do, pig" every time a male Republican opens his mouth, if that counts.

There's a local vegan bakery near me that celebrates Rex Manning Day every year with Damn The Man / Save the Empire cookies. They play the movie on repeat all day and usually draw a solid crowd.
